Disney Doorables A Goofy Movie: Pete - The Scheming Villain Steals the Spotlight!
A Surprise Pull from the Amazon Exclusive Collection
I wasn't planning on hunting this set as hard as I did, but when the Disney Doorables A Goofy Movie collection dropped as an Amazon exclusive back in 2023, I knew I had to get my hands on it. There's something magical about Amazon exclusives - they feel special just by existing. I grabbed the full nine-figure blind box set and started opening, and when Pete revealed himself from that peel-and-reveal mystery package, I actually gasped! This is Disney Doorables A Goofy Movie Pete, and he's absolutely become one of my favorite Common pieces in my collection.
Meeting Pete Face-to-Face
At roughly 1.5 inches tall, Pete embodies everything that makes Doorables collectible. He's got those oversized, glossy eyes that are practically hypnotic - you know, the signature Doorables look that just captures personalities in the tiniest form. The paint work is crisp: Pete's wearing his classic purple color scheme with sharp details on his outfit. The sculptors really nailed his smug, confident expression. It's such a Pete move - looking like he's always got some scheme brewing, even at 1.5 inches tall!
What strikes me most is how well the Doorables line captures character essence at such a small scale. Pete could've looked generic, but instead he looks distinctly mischievous and cool. The pose has attitude written all over it, and I find myself picking him up just to appreciate the sculpt and paint every single time I reorganize my shelf.
The Goofy Movie Holds a Special Place
Growing up, A Goofy Movie was such an underrated gem in the Disney catalog. It's the kind of movie that doesn't get as much love as the princess films or big-name franchises, but if you watched it, you watched it. I remember watching it on VHS so many times, and Pete was always the character who made the story move. He's not your typical villain - he's confident, he's competent, and he actually has that cool swagger that makes him memorable. That's why pulling him from this exclusive set felt so right. The A Goofy Movie Doorables collection fills a really specific niche in my collection - it's a franchise moment that doesn't happen every day, and having all nine figures means I've got something pretty special.
Pete's a Common rarity in this set, which means he's easier to pull than some of the harder-to-find variants, but that doesn't make him any less worthy of a featured spot in my displays.
How I'm Displaying Him
Pete currently lives in a small glass dome on my home office desk, right next to my WDW passholder magnet collection. The dome keeps dust away while still showing him off, and frankly, I like having him visible while I'm working. If you've got the full A Goofy Movie set like I do, I'd recommend a tiered acrylic riser to display all nine figures at different heights - that would create such a cool visual hierarchy and really let each character shine.
There's something so satisfying about pulling the exact figure you were hunting for from a mystery set. The suspense, that moment of the reveal - it never gets old, no matter how many Doorables you've opened.
Collector's Note for You
If you're thinking about hunting this collection, do it sooner rather than later. Amazon exclusives have a way of becoming harder to find once they sell out, and secondary market prices can get wild. Pete's a solid Common pull, so if you're completing the set, you'll probably get him without too much trouble. But the whole set together? That's the real treasure. I'm currently keeping Pete marked as part of my main collection, but I'm always trading with my Discord group for variant pulls from other collectors, so maybe I'll pick up a second Pete down the line!
Thanks for letting me share Pete with you today - he's been such a joy to add to my Doorables wall. Keep collecting, keep hunting, and may your next blind bag pull be exactly what you're hoping for! 🎁
