Ruby Geeki Tiki from RWBY - The Scythe-Wielding Leader Brings Remnant to Your Collection
Aloha, Geeki Tiki Hunters!
Today I am totally geeking out over the Ruby Geeki Tiki from RWBY, the Rooster Teeth anime series that has been a massive part of my nerd life since 2013. Ruby Rose, the scythe-wielding Huntress and leader of Team RWBY, has officially arrived in ceramic form and she is absolutely epic. This tiki perfectly captures the energy, optimism, and fierce determination of one of the most beloved characters in modern anime.
The Sculpt: Speed, Silver Eyes, and a Legendary Scythe
The sculpt on this Ruby tiki is so geektastic. The design showcases Ruby in her iconic huntress pose, complete with her signature red and black color scheme. Her silver eyes, which are crucial to the RWBY lore, are beautifully rendered with a bright glaze that makes them pop against the darker tones of her outfit. The tiki stylization gives her a compact, powerful presence while maintaining all the essential character details that make Ruby instantly recognizable.
What I am obsessed with is how they incorporated Crescent Rose, her transforming scythe-sniper rifle, into the design. The weapon wraps around the mug in a way that feels both functional and true to the character. Ruby would never be caught without her baby, and neither should this tiki. The sculpted details include her flowing cape, combat boots, and even the rose petal motifs that appear whenever she uses her semblance for super speed.
Glaze and Colors: Crimson Petals and Combat Ready
The glaze work on this piece is stunning. The deep crimson red dominates the palette, perfectly matching Ruby's signature color and the rose petals that trail behind her in the show. The black accents provide sharp contrast, highlighting her combat skirt, stockings, and weapon details. There are metallic silver touches on Crescent Rose that give the scythe blade a realistic sheen, while her belt and accessories feature subtle gold glazing.
The finish has a semi-gloss quality that catches light beautifully. When I hold this tiki up, the red sections seem to shimmer like rose petals in motion. It is like Ruby's semblance frozen in ceramic form. The interior is glazed in a smooth black that makes any drink look dramatic and mysterious.
Physical Feel: Lightweight and Battle Ready
This mug feels perfectly balanced in hand, much like Ruby herself. It is surprisingly lightweight despite the detailed sculpt, making it ideal for long anime marathons or RWBY watch parties. The capacity is excellent for a specialty cocktail or iced coffee during those late-night Rooster Teeth binge sessions. The scythe handle section provides a natural grip point, and the whole piece sits stable on any surface.
Team RWBY: Collect the Whole Squad
Ruby is the fearless leader of Team RWBY, and while she shines on her own, she is even better with her teammates. If you are collecting this Ruby tiki, you absolutely need to track down Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long to complete the full team. Each member brings their own unique fighting style and personality to the group. Weiss with her rapier and ice dust, Blake with her shadow clones and dual weapons, and Yang with her explosive gauntlets and fiery semblance. Displaying all four together would create an incredible Team RWBY shrine worthy of Beacon Academy.
The Rose Garden Special
To honor Ruby's love of cookies and her optimistic spirit, I am mixing up a Rose Garden Special. Start with 2 oz of strawberry vodka, add 1 oz of rose water, a splash of cranberry juice, and top with sparkling lemonade. Garnish with fresh rose petals and a silver sugar rim. It is sweet, refreshing, and has just enough kick to fuel your next Grimm hunting mission. Ruby would totally approve, especially if you paired it with a plate of chocolate chip cookies.
My RWBY Journey
I first discovered RWBY back when the Red Trailer dropped in 2012. Watching Ruby take on those Beowolves with Crescent Rose in that snowy forest was an instant hook. The combination of Monty Oum's incredible fight choreography, the anime-inspired art style, and the compelling characters made me a lifelong fan. I have followed Team RWBY through every volume, every triumph and tragedy, and Ruby's growth from an eager student to a true Huntress has been inspiring.
Usage Ideas and Display
This Ruby tiki is perfect for RWBY watch parties, especially when new volumes drop. Set up a Team RWBY themed tiki bar with all four huntresses lined up and serve signature drinks for each character. It also works beautifully on a desk during gaming sessions, particularly if you play RWBY Grimm Eclipse or RWBY Arrowfell. For collectors, pair it with other anime tikis or create a Rooster Teeth shelf featuring RWBY, Red vs Blue, and other RT properties.
The Ruby Geeki Tiki is a must-have for RWBY fans and anime collectors alike. She brings the spirit of Remnant, the determination of a Huntress, and the heart of a true hero to your tiki collection. I actually snagged this one the day it released because I could not resist. Ruby has been one of my favorite anime protagonists for years, and having her in tiki form is a dream come true. I have it marked in my Collectiblz app, and I encourage all you hunters and huntresses out there to track your RWBY collection too.
Why Ruby Rose Belongs in Your Collection
Whether you are building a complete Team RWBY set, starting your anime tiki collection, or simply love badass scythe-wielding heroes, Ruby is an essential piece. She represents hope, courage, and the power of friendship in the face of overwhelming darkness. As Ruby herself would say, it is also a gun. And this tiki is both a beautiful display piece and a fully functional mug for your favorite beverages.
So grab your Crescent Rose, pour yourself a Rose Garden Special, queue up your favorite RWBY episodes, and let Ruby lead your tiki collection to victory against the Grimm.
