Starbucks Animal Kingdom 2 You Are Here Ornament - Disney Mug - Wild Safari Magic Returns
Hey coffee friends, happy spring!
Can we talk about how obsessed I am with this newest Disney Parks treasure? The Starbucks Animal Kingdom 2 You Are Here Ornament mug is here and it's giving me all the wild safari vibes I need in my life. If you loved the first Animal Kingdom ornament, this second edition brings fresh details and even more of that adventurous spirit. I've been counting down the days until I could finally add this to my Disney Parks collection!
This little gem is part of the iconic You Are Here Ornament series from Disney, and let me just say - they really outdid themselves this time. The ornament-style design makes it perfect for displaying year-round, whether you're hanging it on a tree during the holidays or showcasing it on your coffee bar every single day. The miniature size is just right for collectors who want something manageable but still packed with personality.
Design Details That Make My Heart Happy
The artwork on this Animal Kingdom 2 ornament is absolutely stunning. The designers captured that lush, tropical jungle vibe that makes Animal Kingdom such a unique Disney park. You'll spot vibrant greens, rich earth tones, and pops of color that represent the wildlife and natural beauty of the park. From the iconic Tree of Life silhouette to safari elements and animal details, every inch of this ornament tells a story.
The ceramic finish feels smooth and polished, and the colors are bold without being overwhelming. There's this beautiful balance between the wild, untamed jungle aesthetic and the classic Starbucks ornament design language. The handle is perfectly sized for easy hanging on a tree or display hook, and the whole piece has that satisfying weight that tells you it's quality craftsmanship. The Disney Parks logo and Animal Kingdom details are crisp and clear, making it instantly recognizable to any Disney fan.
Perfect for Daily Coffee Moments
While these ornament mugs are technically designed to hang, I've absolutely been using mine for my morning coffee. It holds just the right amount for a quick pick-me-up - think a doppio espresso, a cortado, or a small pour-over. Recently I've been loving a blonde roast with a splash of oat milk in mine, and it's been making my mornings feel a little more magical.
The size is also ideal for afternoon tea or a small serving of hot chocolate. I grabbed a lemon loaf the other day and paired it with my coffee in this mug - instant Disney vacation vibes from my kitchen. The handle makes it easy to hold even though it's small, and the ceramic keeps my drink at the perfect temperature while I savor every sip.
Display Ideas That Spark Joy
This ornament mug looks amazing on a dedicated Disney shelf or coffee bar setup. I've got mine displayed next to my other Animal Kingdom collectibles, and it adds this perfect pop of color and adventure to the whole arrangement. Some collectors hang these on decorative hooks or display trees throughout the year, which looks absolutely gorgeous when you have multiple parks represented.
If you're into themed seasonal displays, this Animal Kingdom 2 ornament would be stunning on a Christmas tree alongside other Disney Parks ornaments. Picture a whole tree dedicated to your Disney memories - now that's what I call goals. You could also use it as part of a safari or jungle-themed display, maybe paired with some greenery or animal figurines for that full immersive experience.
A Must-Have for Disney Collectors
Here's the thing about the You Are Here Ornament series from Disney Parks - they don't stick around forever. These ornaments rotate through different designs and editions, and once they're gone, they can become pretty hard to find. If you're a completionist like me, adding Animal Kingdom 2 to your collection is essential, especially if you already have the first Animal Kingdom ornament. Together, they tell a richer story of this incredible park.
This is also a perfect gift for the Disney fan in your life. Whether they're an Animal Kingdom enthusiast, a Starbucks collector, or someone who just loves unique ornaments, this checks all the boxes. The combination of Disney magic and Starbucks quality makes it something truly special that'll be treasured for years to come.
Personal Story Time
I'll be honest - I've been hunting for this one ever since I heard it dropped. I've got a whole shelf dedicated to my Disney Parks ornaments, and there was this perfect spot waiting for Animal Kingdom 2. The day I finally snagged it online, I did a little happy dance in my living room. No shame. When it arrived and I unboxed it, seeing those gorgeous jungle colors and safari details in person was even better than the pictures online.
My favorite quote about Disney collecting? "It all started with a mouse... and then a mug... and then an ornament collection." Honestly though, there's something so joyful about surrounding yourself with pieces that remind you of magical places and happy memories. Every time I see this Animal Kingdom 2 ornament, I'm instantly transported back to walking through Pandora at sunset or watching the Festival of the Lion King. That's the power of a great collectible.
