Mufasa: The Lion King Light Up Popcorn Bucket - AMC 2025
Hey popcorn bucket collectors! If you're gearing up for opening weekend of Mufasa: The Lion King, you'll want to keep your eyes on AMC Theatres. They just released one of the most impressive light-up popcorn buckets I've seen come out of a movie theater chain this year, and it's a genuine standout piece for any Lion King fan.
This isn't just a standard bucket with a sticker slapped on. AMC went all-in with the Mufasa: The Lion King Light Up Popcorn Bucket, delivering a sculptural collectible that combines character design with interactive lighting. The bucket features bold colors inspired by the film's Pride Lands aesthetic, with warm golden tones, rich earth accents, and iconic imagery tied directly to Mufasa's legacy. The sculpted details bring depth and dimension to the design, making this bucket feel more like a display piece than a concession item.
What truly sets this bucket apart is the integrated LED lighting. When activated, the bucket illuminates key design elements, creating a striking visual effect that captures the cinematic grandeur of the franchise. The glow is vibrant without being overpowering, and it adds a level of theater magic that feels perfectly suited to a film like Mufasa. The lighting is battery-operated, so you can display it lit up at home long after your theater visit. It's details like this that turn a popcorn bucket into something worth collecting.
The lighting on this bucket captures that Pride Rock sunrise energy in a way that feels both cinematic and shelf-worthy. It's one of those pieces that looks better in person than in photos.

This bucket pairs beautifully with other Lion King collectibles, especially if you already own the Simba drum bucket from the 2019 release or other Pride Lands-themed pieces. If you're displaying it, consider placing it near a light source or using the LED feature to create a focal point in your collection.
AMC continues to prove they understand what collectors want from theater exclusives. This Mufasa bucket isn't just a promotional item - it's a well-designed, functional collectible that celebrates the film while offering genuine shelf appeal. If you're planning to catch Mufasa in theaters, make this bucket part of the experience.
