2025 Topps Chrome Disney DI-28 Ariel - Disney Icons Insert Mermaid Magic
Hello, fellow Disney collectors and mermaid dreamers! 🧜♀️
Today I'm absolutely glowing over the 2025 Topps Chrome Disney DI-28 Ariel from the Disney Icons insert set, and I have to tell you, this card is making some serious waves in my collection. If you've ever dreamed of being part of Ariel's world, this is the chrome treasure you need to add to your binder right away.
The Disney Icons insert set has been giving us some spectacular character portraits this year, and Ariel's card might just be my favorite from the entire lineup. The chrome finish captures that underwater shimmer perfectly, almost like you're looking at her through the surface of the ocean. The way the light dances across the card reminds me of that magical moment in The Little Mermaid when Ariel first sees Prince Eric's ship, all sparkles and wonder and possibility.
What makes the Disney Icons inserts so special is how they distill each character down to their most iconic, recognizable look. For Ariel, that means her flowing red hair, those big expressive eyes full of curiosity, and that unmistakable mermaid tail in shimmering green. The chrome treatment adds depth and dimension that a standard card just can't match. When you tilt it in the light, you get these gorgeous refractor effects that make the whole card come alive.
Part of your world means having Ariel shining in chrome perfection in your collection.
I still remember trading Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom spell cards at Walt Disney World years ago, hunting for my favorite characters and building my collection one card at a time. That same thrill is back with these Topps Chrome Disney releases. The Disney Icons insert set has become one of those chase elements that makes opening packs so exciting. You never know when you'll pull a princess, and when it's someone as beloved as Ariel, it feels like finding treasure in Ursula's lair.
Let's talk about the technical details for a moment. As an insert set card from 2025 Topps Chrome Disney, the Disney Icons series features enhanced chrome stock and typically falls at more challenging pull rates than base cards. These aren't your everyday pulls, which makes landing DI-28 all the sweeter. The Disney Icons set celebrates the most recognizable faces from the Disney universe, from classic princesses to modern heroes, and Ariel absolutely deserves her spot in that royal lineup.
For collectors who focus on The Little Mermaid or princess cards specifically, this is an absolute must-have. The Disney Icons insert design is consistent across the set, giving your collection a cohesive, gallery-quality look when you display multiple cards together. I love how these inserts elevate your binder pages from simple card storage to actual art showcases.
Display-wise, this card is stunning in a magnetic one-touch holder where you can really appreciate that chrome shine from every angle. If you're going the binder route, make sure you're using ultra-clear, acid-free pages so nothing dims Ariel's sparkle. Some collectors even frame their Disney Icons pulls alongside vintage Little Mermaid posters or park souvenirs for a gorgeous themed display.
Whether you're building the complete Disney Icons insert set, collecting every Ariel card ever made, or just grabbing your favorite characters as you find them, DI-28 is a keeper. The combination of a beloved character, premium chrome treatment, and insert set exclusivity makes this card special in all the right ways.
And speaking of keeping track of your collection, I've already got this beauty marked as HAVE in my Collectiblz app after snagging it on release week. There's something so satisfying about checking off these Disney Icons inserts one by one and watching your set completion percentage climb. If you're chasing this set too, definitely download the app to track your progress. It makes hunting for those last few cards so much more manageable, and you can see exactly which Disney Icons you still need at a glance.
Happy collecting, and may your next pack bring you chrome princess magic!
💙 Tilly
