2025 Topps Chrome Disney ZI-2 Chief Bogo - Zootopia Icons Insert Authority
Hey There, Disney Collectors! 🏰
Can you believe we're back in Zootopia? I'm absolutely thrilled to share one of my favorite insert cards from the 2025 Topps Chrome Disney release - the ZI-2 Chief Bogo from the Zootopia Icons set! If you love the gruff-but-lovable buffalo police chief from one of Disney's most clever animated films, this chrome beauty belongs in your collection.
Meet Chief Bogo in Chrome Brilliance
Chief Bogo has always been one of those characters who grows on you. At first, he seems like the typical tough boss who doubts Judy Hopps at every turn, but as the movie unfolds, you realize he's actually a dedicated leader who genuinely cares about his officers and the city of Zootopia. This ZI-2 card captures that commanding presence perfectly with stunning chrome technology that makes every detail pop - from his police uniform to that intense, no-nonsense expression we all know and love.
The Topps Chrome treatment is absolutely gorgeous on this card. The refractor shine brings out the rich browns and blues of his uniform, and there's something about seeing Chief Bogo rendered in that signature chrome finish that just feels right. It's like he's about to assign you a parking duty case, but in the most visually stunning way possible!
The Complete Zootopia Icons Set
Chief Bogo is card number 2 in the eight-card Zootopia Icons insert set, and honestly, Topps absolutely nailed the character selection. The complete lineup celebrates the most memorable residents of Zootopia: ZI-1 Judy Hopps (our determined bunny hero), ZI-2 Chief Bogo (the card we're loving today), ZI-3 Officer Benjamin Clawhauser (the donut-loving cheetah), ZI-4 Mayor Lionheart (Zootopia's ambitious leader), ZI-5 Nick Wilde (the sly fox with a heart of gold), ZI-6 Flash (the hilariously slow sloth from the DMV), ZI-7 Duke Weaselton (the weaselly criminal), and ZI-8 Gazelle (the pop star sensation).
These Zootopia Icons inserts are Mega Box exclusives, with two cards per Mega box, so they have that perfect balance of being accessible but still special enough to feel like a real chase. I love that Topps chose to honor this film with its own dedicated insert set because Zootopia deserves all the recognition for its incredible world-building and important message about prejudice and acceptance.
Anyone can be anything in Zootopia, and any collector can build an amazing Chrome Disney collection with dedication and heart.
A Zootopia Memory
I'll never forget my first time watching Zootopia. I went into the theater expecting a cute animal movie, and I walked out completely blown away by the depth, humor, and social commentary. The DMV scene with Flash still makes me laugh every single time, and Chief Bogo's character arc from skeptical boss to Judy's supporter is genuinely moving. When I pulled my first Zootopia Icons card from a Mega box (it was actually a Nick Wilde), all those feelings came rushing back.
Speaking of pulls, I actually do have this Chief Bogo card marked as "Have" in my Collectiblz app! I snagged him in a Mega box about a month after release, and seeing that chrome buffalo staring back at me from the pack was such a satisfying moment. If you're tracking your Topps Chrome Disney collection, the Collectiblz app is perfect for marking your Zootopia Icons progress - you can see exactly which of the eight characters you still need to complete the set. For anyone hunting Chief Bogo or any of the other Zootopia Icons, I definitely encourage you to use Collectiblz to keep your checklist organized!
Why Collectors Love This Card
Beyond the gorgeous chrome finish, the Zootopia Icons set has serious collector appeal. First, these are Mega Box exclusives, which automatically makes them more interesting than standard base inserts. Second, Zootopia has a passionate fanbase who appreciate the film's artistry and message, so these cards connect with both Disney collectors and animation enthusiasts. Third, the character selection is spot-on - every major player from the film gets representation.
Chief Bogo himself is a fantastic character to collect. He represents authority, leadership, and ultimately growth and acceptance. Plus, buffalo characters aren't exactly common in Disney trading cards, so having him immortalized in chrome is pretty special. The card design showcases his police chief uniform beautifully, and that stern expression is pure Bogo.
Parallels and Variants
Like all Zootopia Icons cards, Chief Bogo comes with an array of Mega Box exclusive parallels including Black (serial numbered to 10), Mickey Mouse Logo (numbered to 28), Orange (numbered to 25), Red (numbered to 5), and the ultimate chase - the SuperFractor (1/1). Each parallel adds that extra layer of rarity and visual pop, but even the base insert version is a beauty worth chasing.
Display Ideas for Your Zootopia Icons
These chrome inserts look absolutely stunning when displayed together as a complete set. I keep my Zootopia Icons in a nine-pocket page (with one spot for a future parallel upgrade), and seeing all eight characters lined up in chrome perfection never gets old. The set tells the story of Zootopia through its most important residents, from law enforcement to pop stars to everyday citizens (and one very slow DMV worker).
If you're going for individual display, Chief Bogo looks incredible in a magnetic one-touch holder. The chrome finish really shines when it's protected and properly displayed. You could also pair him with other law enforcement characters from different Disney properties for a fun themed display.
For the Zootopia Superfan
If Zootopia holds a special place in your heart, the Zootopia Icons insert set is an absolute must-collect. These eight cards celebrate everything we love about the film - the humor, the heart, the incredible character design, and the important themes. Whether you're team Judy and Nick, obsessed with Flash's legendary DMV scene, or appreciate Chief Bogo's leadership journey, there's a card in this set calling your name.
Chief Bogo's ZI-2 card is a perfect representation of a complex, memorable character from one of Disney's smartest films. In classic chrome style, with that Mega Box exclusive appeal, and featuring a character who deserves way more recognition than he gets, this insert is a winner on every level.
Happy collecting, and remember - in Zootopia and in collecting, anyone can be anything! ✨
💛 Tilly
