Topps Disney Neon | Collectiblz

Aloha, Ohana Collectors!

Imagine stepping into Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World just as the sun sets, when those brilliant Neon lights start to pulse and glow against the twilight sky. That's exactly the vibe I get every time I look at the 2026 Topps Disney Neon collection, and today's card is extra special because it features one of my absolute favorite anxious aliens: Pleakley! Card #17 in the Topps Disney Neon Base Set brings our beloved one-eyed expert to life with that signature Neon shimmer that makes these cards so incredibly collectible.

Pleakley has always held a special place in my heart. From the moment he appeared on screen in Lilo & Stitch, fussing about Earth customs and mosquitoes being an endangered species, I knew he was going to be iconic. This Neon card captures everything wonderful about his character - that nervous energy, that dedication to his work (even when it goes hilariously wrong), and that genuine heart beneath all the worry. The Neon treatment gives Pleakley's green skin an almost otherworldly luminescence, and his single eye practically glows off the card surface.

Neon Glow Meets Intergalactic Charm

The 2026 Topps Disney Neon #17 Pleakley card is part of the Base Set, which means it's more accessible than some of the harder-to-find parallels and inserts, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's any less spectacular. The Neon finish on these cards is absolutely stunning in person - photographs can't quite capture how the colors shift and shimmer when you tilt the card under light. Pleakley's distinctive features are rendered beautifully, from his slender frame to his expressive face. You can practically hear him saying "Oh, this is not good" in that worried voice we all know and love.

What I adore about the Topps Disney Neon line is how it celebrates characters across the entire Disney universe, giving everyone from main characters to beloved supporting cast their moment to shine. Pleakley joins other Lilo & Stitch favorites in this set - you'll also find Lilo herself (card #15), the troublemaking Jumba (card #16), and of course Experiment 626, better known as Stitch. Collecting the whole Lilo & Stitch squad in Neon form creates such a gorgeous display that captures the spirit of the film's vibrant Hawaiian setting mixed with sci-fi adventure.

Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind in your Neon collection - especially not our favorite Earth expert!

Memories from the Magic Kingdom

Speaking of Lilo & Stitch, I have to share one of my favorite Walt Disney World memories. During a trip to the Magic Kingdom, I was walking through Tomorrowland when I spotted a Cast Member dressed as Pleakley doing a meet-and-greet near the carousel. The attention to detail was incredible - the costume, the mannerisms, everything! When I mentioned I collected Lilo & Stitch cards, the character stayed completely in role, worrying about whether trading cards were an acceptable Earth custom and if I had the proper permits for my collection. It was absolutely delightful and reminded me why I fell in love with this character in the first place. Every time I look at this Neon card now, I think about that magical encounter.

Collector's Notes: Adding Pleakley to Your Neon Ohana

As a Base Set card in the 2026 Topps Disney Neon collection, Pleakley is more readily available than short prints or case hits, making him a great addition for both new collectors and seasoned veterans. The Neon Base Set typically has strong pull rates in hobby boxes, though the exact ratios can vary. What makes Pleakley particularly appealing is his crossover appeal - he's beloved by Lilo & Stitch fans specifically, Disney character collectors, and anyone who appreciates quirky supporting characters who steal every scene.

If you're building the complete Neon set, Pleakley is essential for completing the Lilo & Stitch subset. The card fits beautifully into the larger Topps Disney Neon ecosystem, which has been thrilling collectors throughout 2026 with its stunning chromatic finish. While you're hunting for Pleakley, keep an eye out for the Neon parallels too - Rainbow Foil, Green, and other color variations can make your Pleakley collection even more dynamic.

Display Ideas Fit for a Galactic Expert

This Neon Pleakley deserves premium protection and display. I recommend keeping him in a top loader at minimum, though a one-touch magnetic holder really lets that Neon finish shine without any sleeve interference. If you're thinking about grading, the 2026 Topps Disney Neon cards have been popular PSA and BGS submissions, and a high-grade Pleakley would be a gorgeous centerpiece for any Lilo & Stitch collection.

For binder collectors (like me!), use Ultra Pro Platinum or BCW Premium pages - the clarity really matters with these Neon cards because you want that shimmer to show through. I keep my Lilo & Stitch Neon cards together on facing pages, creating a beautiful spread that tells the whole ohana story. Pair Pleakley with your vintage Lilo & Stitch pins, your Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards (remember those?), or even with Stitch plushies for a dedicated display area.

Don't forget to mark Pleakley as "Have" in your Collectiblz app! It's so satisfying to see that completion percentage climb, especially when you're working toward the full Neon Base Set or completing specific character collections.

Final Thoughts

The 2026 Topps Disney Neon #17 Pleakley card is everything I love about modern Disney trading cards - it honors a beloved character with stunning modern design, it's part of a larger collecting ecosystem that rewards both casual fans and dedicated completists, and it simply brings joy every time you look at it. Whether you're a Lilo & Stitch superfan, a Neon parallel chaser, or someone who just appreciates great character cards, Pleakley deserves a spot in your collection. His nervous energy, captured in glowing Neon perfection, reminds us that even the most anxious among us can be heroes when family needs us.

Happy collecting, and remember: mosquitoes may be endangered, but your love for Disney cards never has to be!
