Hazbin Hotel Lucifer Morningstar Boxed TUBBZ Review - The King of Hell Duck
Well, well, well, fellow sinners and collectors! 🦆✨ If you thought the Hazbin Hotel couldn't get any more devilishly charming, think again. Today I'm diving beak-first into the Lucifer Morningstar Boxed TUBBZ, and let me tell you, this little fallen angel is pure gold - literally and figuratively.
The Devil's in the Details
This isn't just any rubber duck wearing a top hat and calling it a day. The Lucifer Morningstar Tubbz captures everything that makes the King of Hell himself so unforgettable. From his signature pale blonde slicked-back hair to that iconic white and red circus ringmaster outfit, every sculpted detail screams fallen angel with flair. The duck sports his classic top hat with the golden snake and apple emblem - you know, that whole forbidden fruit situation that got him into this mess in the first place.
What really gets me is the expression. They've managed to give this duck Lucifer's characteristic charm mixed with just a hint of that existential sadness he carries. It's playful yet melancholic, which is exactly how Lucifer presents himself throughout the series. The little golden buttons on his jacket, the red and white color blocking, even the way his collar is sculpted - it all comes together beautifully.
Paint and Polish Fit for Royalty
The paint application on this Tubbz is absolutely stellar. The white base of his outfit has a clean, almost porcelain-like finish that contrasts brilliantly with the rich red accents. The gold detailing on the snake, apple, and buttons has a subtle metallic sheen that catches the light just right. His rosy cheeks and that knowing smile are painted with precision, giving him that signature Lucifer smirk we all know and love.
The hair is particularly well done - that pale blonde has depth to it with subtle shading that prevents it from looking flat. And those red cheek circles? Chef's kiss. They're just bold enough to capture his circus aesthetic without overwhelming the face sculpt.
The Royal Presence
Physically, this duck has excellent balance and sits perfectly upright, which is fitting for the King of Hell. At standard Tubbz size, it's substantial enough to command attention on any shelf but compact enough to fit into themed displays. The weight feels quality in hand - this is a premium collectible through and through. The Boxed TUBBZ presentation means it arrives in a display-worthy window box featuring Hazbin Hotel artwork, making it perfect for mint-in-box collectors or as a gift.
A Personal Hell of a Memory
I still remember the first time I watched Hazbin Hotel. I was scrolling through streaming options on a lazy Saturday, looking for something different, and that bold animation style just grabbed me. Then Lucifer appeared in the show and completely stole every scene he was in. His relationship with Charlie, that desperate need to reconnect with his daughter while dealing with centuries of depression - it hit different. As he says in the show, "I just wanted you to know that I'm still here for you, even if I haven't always shown it." That vulnerability mixed with cosmic power makes him such a compelling character.
When I tracked down this Tubbz at my local collectibles shop last month, I couldn't resist adding the King himself to my growing Hazbin collection. I've got it marked in the Collectiblz app now, and honestly, it's such a satisfying feeling to check these off as I build out the complete set. If you're collecting these ducks, I highly recommend using the app to keep track - especially with larger franchise collections like Hazbin Hotel where you want to make sure you're not missing any characters.
Display Ideas Worth Their Weight in Gold
This Lucifer Tubbz is incredibly versatile for display. He looks fantastic on a desk as a quirky conversation starter, especially if you work in a creative field. Pair him with the Charlie Morningstar Tubbz for that father-daughter dynamic, or create a full Hazbin Hotel shelf display alongside Angel Dust, Alastor, Vaggie, and Valentino - all available in the Boxed TUBBZ line.
I've seen collectors create little "Hotel" displays with risers and LED lighting that really bring these characters to life. Some folks even position Lucifer front and center as the patriarch overlooking the whole crew. He also works brilliantly in animation-themed collections alongside other adult animated series figures.
Collector's Notes from the Underworld
The Hazbin Hotel Boxed TUBBZ line is building into something really special. With Charlie, Lucifer, Angel Dust, Alastor, Vaggie, and Valentino now available, you can recreate the main cast in adorable duck form. These make fantastic companion pieces, and displaying them together creates a cohesive collection that any Hazbin fan would be proud of. They're also great for gifting to friends who are into the show - everyone needs a little demonic duck charm in their life.
As Lucifer himself would say, "I believe in you, Charlie! And I want to help you build your dream." Well, this Tubbz helps build MY dream collection, and it can do the same for yours.
Final Verdict: Wickedly Wonderful
The Hazbin Hotel Lucifer Morningstar Boxed TUBBZ is an absolute must-have for fans of the series and Tubbz collectors alike. The attention to detail in both sculpt and paint, combined with the character's inherent charm, makes this a shelf standout that brings joy every time you look at it. Whether you're starting your Hazbin collection or completing the cast, Lucifer deserves a spot in your collection.
He's proof that even the King of Hell can be adorable in duck form, and honestly, what more could you ask for? Display him proudly, imagine him presiding over your own little corner of the underworld, and remember - redemption might be hard to come by, but great collectibles never are when you know where to look. 🦆✨
