The Bubbles Popcorn Bucket Brings the Sweetest Powerpuff Moment to the Concession Stand
Opening Night at the Townsville Concession Stand
There are certain opening weekends where the bucket behind the glass stops you in your tracks before you even check the showtime. The Powerpuff Girls Movie (2025) was one of those weekends. The moment the concession lineup revealed a full three-character set - one bucket for each Girl - collectors had a real decision to make. Today I want to focus on the one that caught my eye first: the Bubbles Popcorn Bucket.
About the Bubbles Popcorn Bucket
The Bubbles Popcorn Bucket is an officially released theater-exclusive collectible tied to The Powerpuff Girls Movie (2025). It is part of a three-piece character set alongside dedicated buckets for Blossom and Buttercup, making this one of the most complete character-trio releases to come out of a major animated movie in recent memory. Each bucket is designed to represent one of the three super-powered girls from Townsville, and Bubbles is the standout piece for collectors drawn to expressive character design and soft, eye-catching color palettes.
The bucket holds 64 ounces, putting it squarely in standard large-format theater capacity. The Bubbles design is built around her signature sky-blue color scheme, with a clean rounded body shape that reflects her sweet and approachable personality. Her large, iconic eyes are prominently represented in the design, and the overall aesthetic stays faithful to the bold, graphic visual style that defined the original Cartoon Network animated series. The translucent quality of the plastic gives the piece a bright, airy look under theater lighting - collectors who display near a window or use shelf lighting will find the blue pops in a way that photographs well and reads clearly from across a room.
A Design Detail Worth Appreciating
One of the most notable things about the Bubbles bucket is how the sky-blue color reads consistently from the body all the way through the lid. Many theater-exclusive buckets use a different plastic compound for the lid, which can create a subtle but noticeable color mismatch - something that shows up immediately on a collector's shelf. The Bubbles bucket avoids that. The blue is uniform, clean, and intentional from top to bottom. For collectors focused on display quality and shelf coherence, that kind of design discipline is a meaningful detail that separates a good release from a great one.
When a franchise drops a three-character set with this level of color fidelity and design consistency, the display potential is real. Line up Blossom in pink, Bubbles in blue, and Buttercup in green, and you have a Townsville lineup that reads immediately from across the room. Sets like this do not come around often in theater collecting. The Powerpuff Girls Movie lineup made the most of it.
Part of a Three-Piece Set
The Bubbles Popcorn Bucket does not exist in isolation, and that is a big part of what makes this release worth covering fully. All three Powerpuff Girls received their own individual buckets for the 2025 movie. The Blossom bucket comes in her signature pink-red tones, and the Buttercup bucket closes out the set in green. All three follow the same silhouette, scale, and design language, which makes it clear these were intended to be collected and displayed as a trio. If you are a set completer - and a lot of us are - tracking down all three is the move.
