Colorado Avalanche Three-Time Stanley Cup Champions Medallion Puck - A Dynasty Worth Displaying
Welcome to the Collector's Crease - Where Every Puck Tells a Championship Story
If you bleed burgundy and blue, there is no better way to honor the Colorado Avalanche's place in hockey history than with a puck that carries the weight of three Stanley Cup championships. Mustang Drinkware has put together something truly special for Avalanche faithful with their Three-Time Stanley Cup Champions collection - and today we are diving deep into two standout pieces that belong together on every serious collector's shelf.
A Dynasty Three Cups Deep
The Colorado Avalanche are one of the most decorated franchises in modern NHL history. Their three Stanley Cup championships - 1996, 2001, and 2022 - span different eras, different rosters, and different generations of hockey fans, yet they are all connected by that unmistakable burgundy sweater and the relentless winning culture that defines this franchise. The 2022 Cup run was especially electric, with Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, and the rest of the squad absolutely dominating the postseason. Capturing all three titles on a single collectible puck? That is a statement piece, full stop.
The Star of the Show: Colorado Avalanche Three-Time Stanley Cup Champions Medallion Puck
This is the crown jewel of the collection. Mustang Drinkware built this puck to impress, and it delivers from the moment you pull it out of the packaging. The Medallion Puck features silver-plated graphics with a high-polish, jewelry-level finish - the kind of detail you expect on a keepsake, not just a collectible. The durable, hand-painted cloisonne fill gives the graphics a depth and dimension that flat-printed pucks simply cannot match.
- Material: 85% Rubber / 15% Resin - the same proportions used in standard game pucks, giving it authentic weight and feel
- Silver-plated graphics celebrating all three Avalanche Stanley Cup championships
- High-polish, jewelry-level finish for premium visual impact
- Officially licensed NHL merchandise
- Made in the USA by Mustang Drinkware
The cloisonne technique used here is borrowed from fine jewelry and enamel pin manufacturing - it involves filling recessed areas with colored enamel or resin before polishing the surface to a mirror-like sheen. The result is graphics that pop with color and shine from across the room. This is not a shelf filler - this is a centerpiece.
"A championship puck is not just a souvenir - it is a timestamp. When you hold a puck that commemorates three titles across three decades, you are holding the whole arc of a franchise's greatness in one piece of rubber and resin. That is something no photograph can quite capture." - Hal Parker, collectiblz.com
The Companion Piece: Colorado Avalanche Three-Time Stanley Cup Champions Puck
Running alongside the Medallion Puck in the Mustang Drinkware lineup is the Colorado Avalanche Three-Time Stanley Cup Champions Puck - a more approachable entry point into the same championship celebration. This puck features printed graphics on the same 85% Rubber / 15% Resin construction, making it a great starting point for newer collectors or a perfect gift for the Avs fan in your life who is just getting into the hobby. It carries the same official licensing and Made in the USA pedigree, just with a printed finish rather than the premium medallion treatment. Think of it as the reliable teammate to the Medallion Puck's superstar role - both working together to tell the complete championship story.
- Material: 85% Rubber / 15% Resin
- Printed Colorado Avalanche Three-Time Champions graphics
- Officially licensed NHL merchandise
- Made in the USA by Mustang Drinkware
- A budget-friendly complement to the Medallion Puck
Collector Notes
Both pucks are souvenir-grade collectibles, not game-used, so there is no authentication hologram or COA to look for here. What you are collecting is official NHL-licensed merchandise produced by a manufacturer known for quality finishes and collector-focused design. For the Medallion Puck especially, handle the logo face with care - oils from fingertips can dull that high-polish finish over time. Always hold it from the side edges when repositioning it on a display.
These pucks are widely available through major sports retailers, but the Medallion Puck in particular has shown strong collector interest as one of the few pucks on the market to honor all three Avalanche championships simultaneously. As the 2022 title gets further in the rearview mirror, commemorative pieces from that era tend to hold their appeal - especially well-crafted ones like this.
Display and Storage Ideas
Displaying this duo together is where the real fun begins. Consider these options for your home or office setup:
- A double acrylic puck cube stand - side by side, the Medallion Puck and Champions Puck make a stunning two-puck display
- A shadow box pairing the Medallion Puck with an Avalanche jersey swatch or a photo from the 2022 Cup celebration
- A three-tier shelf arrangement featuring the Medallion Puck at center, flanked by the Champions Puck and a third Avalanche team logo puck to represent each championship year
- A mahogany or black wood puck logo display case for a premium look that does justice to the jewelry-level finish on the Medallion Puck
Whether you are building a dedicated Avalanche shrine or just want one killer piece on your desk that tells the whole story in a single glance, the Three-Time Stanley Cup Champions Medallion Puck is the anchor. Pair it with the standard Champions Puck and you have a mini-collection that punches well above its weight class.
Colorado Avalanche fans - three Cups, one legendary franchise, and now two pucks to prove it. Get both. You will not regret it.
