Looney Tunes Bugs Bunny TUBBZ (Collector's Edition) Review - What's Up, Duck?
Hey there, collectors! What's up, Doc? 🦆🥕
Today I'm absolutely thrilled to share one of the most iconic cartoon characters to ever hit the Tubbz lineup, and let me tell you, this one's a real showstopper. The Looney Tunes Bugs Bunny TUBBZ (Collector's Edition) brings the rabbit everyone knows and loves into duck form, and honestly, it's one of the most nostalgic pieces I've added to my collection in a long time.
The Wascally Wabbit Meets Duck Design
This isn't just any Tubbz. This is Bugs Bunny. The king of cartoon cool, the master of mischief, the one and only bunny who can outsmart anyone with a simple "Eh, what's up, Doc?" And the sculptors absolutely nailed his signature look in duck form.
The pose captures Bugs in his classic casual stance, leaning slightly with that unmistakable confident smirk. His long ears are perfectly sculpted, rising tall and proud just like in the cartoons. One flipper is raised in his iconic relaxed gesture, and you can almost hear him chewing on that carrot. Speaking of which, yes, they included the carrot! It's a brilliant orange accent piece that sits perfectly in his hand, and it's the kind of detail that makes this duck go from good to absolutely quack-tastic.
Paint and Color Magic
The paint work on this Collector's Edition is stunning. Bugs' signature gray fur translates beautifully to the duck's body with smooth, even coverage that has a subtle matte finish. The white chest and face markings are crisp and clean, creating that perfect contrast we all recognize from decades of Saturday morning cartoons.
But here's where it gets really special. The eyes. Those big, expressive Bugs Bunny eyes are rendered with incredible detail, complete with his half-lidded, mischievous expression that says, "I'm about to pull a fast one on Elmer Fudd." The pink inner ears add a pop of color, and the bright orange carrot provides that perfect visual punch.
The gloves are painted in pristine white, and even the little details like his buck teeth are carefully executed. This is premium Tubbz craftsmanship at its finest.
Physical Presence
In hand, this Tubbz has excellent weight and balance. The standard duck size makes it perfect for display alongside other cartoon character Tubbz, and the base is stable enough that Bugs won't be tipping over on your shelf. The texture has that classic rubber duck feel, smooth to the touch with just enough grip to make it satisfying to hold.
The Collector's Edition packaging is worth mentioning too. It comes in a premium display box with Looney Tunes branding that's perfect for keeping mint or for gifting to that special Bugs Bunny fan in your life.
A Personal Trip Down Memory Lane
I grew up watching Bugs Bunny reruns every Saturday morning, bowl of cereal in hand, completely mesmerized by his ability to outsmart everyone from hunters to Martians to opera singers. My favorite episodes were always the ones where he'd dress up in ridiculous disguises and somehow convince his opponents he was someone completely different. The sheer confidence of this rabbit, the way he'd munch on that carrot while chaos unfolded around him, it was pure cartoon perfection.
When I first unboxed this Tubbz, I couldn't help but smile. It brought back all those memories of lazy weekend mornings, the classic Looney Tunes theme song, and the endless laughs Bugs provided. He's been a cultural icon for over 80 years, and having him in duck form on my desk is like having a little piece of animation history right there with me.
"Ain't I a stinker?" You bet you are, Bugs. And I love you for it.
Display Ideas
This Bugs Bunny Tubbz is an absolute desk champion. I've got mine positioned front and center on my work setup, and he's become my unofficial productivity mascot. There's something motivating about having Bugs' cool confidence nearby when you're tackling a tough project.
For collectors building a cartoon character display, Bugs is an essential centerpiece. Pair him with other Looney Tunes Tubbz if you can track them down, or mix him with other classic cartoon ducks to create a nostalgic animation shrine. He also looks fantastic on a media shelf next to your classic cartoon collections, vintage toys, or animation art.
Gaming setup? Absolutely. Bugs' laid-back vibe makes him perfect for a chill gaming corner. He's the kind of character that reminds you not to take things too seriously, even when you're on a losing streak.
Collector Notes
The Collector's Edition designation means this is a special release, and Looney Tunes merchandise tends to have strong collector appeal. Bugs Bunny is one of the most recognizable characters in entertainment history, which makes this Tubbz a must-have for animation fans, Looney Tunes collectors, and anyone who appreciates classic cartoon nostalgia.
Keep an eye out for other Looney Tunes characters in the Tubbz line. Characters like Daffy Duck, Tweety, Sylvester, and the Tasmanian Devil would make incredible companions to Bugs, creating an epic cartoon collection. If you're a completionist, you'll want to grab this one before it becomes harder to find.
This is also a fantastic gift for anyone who grew up with Bugs or who has introduced a new generation to these timeless cartoons. The universal appeal of Bugs Bunny crosses age groups effortlessly.
Why This Duck Matters
The Looney Tunes Bugs Bunny TUBBZ (Collector's Edition) is more than just a rubber duck. It's a celebration of one of animation's greatest icons, a character who's been making people laugh since 1940. From his Brooklyn accent to his unflappable cool under pressure, Bugs represents the golden age of American animation, and this Tubbz captures his essence perfectly.
Whether you're a lifelong Looney Tunes fan, a Tubbz collector expanding your cartoon lineup, or someone looking for the perfect desk buddy with timeless appeal, Bugs delivers. He's got star power, he's got style, and he's got that carrot.
For fans of classic cartoons, this is a starter piece that anchors a nostalgic collection. For completionists, it's an essential character that belongs in any comprehensive Tubbz display. And for anyone who wants to add a little bit of cartoon mischief to their space, Bugs Bunny in duck form is exactly what the doctor ordered.
Of course I'm talking about me. What's up, Doc? This duck's up, and it's staying right here on my shelf where it belongs. Eh, ain't I a collector? 🥕✨
