Topps Disneyland 70th Anniversary Card #147 - Highway of the Future Tomorrowland Concept Art Magic
Hello, Disney Dreamers! ✨
If you've ever stood in Tomorrowland and imagined what Walt Disney envisioned for the future, then card #147 from the 2025 Topps Disneyland 70th Anniversary set is about to take you back to those dreamy, forward-thinking days! This stunning Concept Art base card captures the "Highway of the Future" - a glimpse into Walt's vision of sleek transportation, gleaming innovation, and a tomorrow that never quite arrived but lives forever in our imaginations.
A Tomorrowland Dream in Your Hands
Card #147 showcases original concept art from Tomorrowland's planning stages, and honestly, I could stare at it for hours. The Highway of the Future design features streamlined vehicles, futuristic architecture, and that unmistakable mid-century optimism that defined early Disneyland. The colors are vibrant yet vintage, the lines are clean and aerodynamic, and every detail whispers "the world of tomorrow."
The Topps Disneyland 70th Anniversary branding sits perfectly along the border, reminding us that we're celebrating seven decades of magic. The card stock has that satisfying weight, and the image reproduction is crisp - you can see every brushstroke and design element that the Imagineers dreamed up.
Building tomorrow, one imaginative highway at a time - where yesterday's future becomes today's treasured memory.
My Tomorrowland Connection
I'll never forget riding the PeopleMover at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, feeling like I was gliding through Walt's vision of the future. There's something magical about how Tomorrowland tried to show us what tomorrow could be - monorails, space travel, technological marvels. Even though we're living in that "future" now, the retro-futuristic aesthetic still captures my heart. This Highway of the Future card brings all those memories flooding back - the optimism, the wonder, the belief that anything was possible.
Concept Art Collection Magic
The Concept Art subset within the Topps Disneyland 70th Anniversary set is absolutely essential for collectors who love the behind-the-scenes magic of Disney parks. These aren't just pretty pictures - they're historical documents showing the creative process that brought Disneyland to life. Card #147 represents the Tomorrowland section of this subset, making it a must-have for anyone building the complete Concept Art collection.
As a base set card, this is highly accessible to collectors at all levels. You won't be chasing numbered parallels or case hits to get this piece of Imagineering history - it's designed to be enjoyed by everyone who opens a pack. That said, the Concept Art cards are fan favorites, so they tend to get scooped up quickly by collectors who appreciate Disney parks history.
Perfect for Display and Organization
I absolutely need this card in my collection! The Highway of the Future concept is so iconic, and having it immortalized on a trading card feels like owning a tiny piece of Imagineering history. I've already marked it on my need list in the Collectiblz app - seriously, if you're collecting Topps Disney sets, you need to download the app! It makes tracking your Disneyland 70th Anniversary checklist so much easier, and you can see exactly which Concept Art cards you're still hunting.
For display, this card deserves premium treatment. I'm thinking a black top loader would make those retro-futuristic colors pop, or you could go with a themed binder page showing the evolution of Tomorrowland through different concept art cards. It would look amazing paired with other Tomorrowland cards from this set, creating a mini-exhibit of one land's journey from imagination to reality.
