The 1999 Chick in Egg PEZ Dispenser Is the Easter Classic Every Seasonal Collector Treasures
The Sweetest Easter Treasure
There's something inherently joyful about seasonal PEZ dispensers, and the 1999 Chick in Egg is no exception. This delightful Easter-themed dispenser captures the playfulness of springtime with a little chick nestled inside a decorated egg shell. Made with PEZ's signature hard plastic construction and featuring a wavy edge design, this 1999 variant represents a specific moment in PEZ's seasonal offerings-when they were at their most creative with holiday-specific releases.
The Easter Classic Design
The Chick in Egg design is wonderfully simple yet charming. The egg shell serves as the outer casing with gentle wavy edges, and the little chick peeks out from within, ready to dispense candy. The color palette-typically a cheerful yellow chick against the egg-makes this dispenser instantly recognizable during the spring collecting season. It's the kind of piece that makes collectors smile every time they see it on a shelf.
Easter dispensers hold a special place in any collection because they remind us of the joy and renewal that the season brings. This little chick has been bringing that cheer since 1999.
Made with Vintage Care
The 1999 production run saw these dispensers manufactured with the durability PEZ was known for. Many examples were made in Hungary, as part of PEZ's international manufacturing partnerships. For collectors hunting mint-in-package examples from this year, the original packaging with the cheerful Easter branding adds significant appeal and historical value.
A Seasonal Must-Have
If you're a seasonal collector like me, the Chick in Egg deserves a prominent spot in your display rotation. Pull it out each spring, and it transforms any collection shelf into a celebration of the season. It pairs beautifully with other Easter or spring-themed dispensers, creating a little corner of joy that reminds us why we started collecting candy dispensers in the first place-because they're fundamentally fun.
