The 1998 Pumpkin C PEZ Dispenser Is the Classic Halloween Jack-O-Lantern Every Seasonal Collector Craves
A Seasonal Treasure from 1998
There's something magical about Halloween-themed collectibles, and the Pumpkin C PEZ Dispenser from 1998 captures that seasonal charm perfectly. This adorable jack-o-lantern-faced candy dispenser has become a beloved staple in the vintage PEZ collecting community, celebrated for its cheerful pumpkin sculpt and festive appeal. Whether you're a Halloween enthusiast year-round or a PEZ collector who appreciates seasonal releases, the Pumpkin C deserves a place in your collection.
The Perfect Pumpkin Face
The Pumpkin C features a delightfully carved jack-o-lantern expression - complete with triangular eyes and a characteristic grinning mouth that radiates October spirit. The pumpkin is rendered in vibrant orange with carefully painted details that bring the jack-o-lantern to life. Released in 1998, this dispenser represents a pivotal moment in PEZ's seasonal offerings, when the company recognized the enduring appeal of Halloween collectibles to both children and adult enthusiasts.
Building a Halloween Collection
The Pumpkin C pairs beautifully with other Halloween-themed PEZ dispensers from the era - witches, skeletons, ghosts, and other seasonal characters. Collectors often organize their Halloween PEZ into dedicated display sections, creating spooky scenes that celebrate the season year-round. I picked up my own copy several years ago at a show in Columbus, and it's become one of my favorite display pieces because of its unironic cheerfulness - it's the kind of piece that makes people smile when they see it.
Seasonal PEZ dispensers like the Pumpkin C remind us that sometimes the most beloved collectibles are the ones that spark joy and nostalgia, not just at their designated season, but every single month of the year.
Finding Your Pumpkin
Today's collectors can find Pumpkin C examples on the secondary market through various platforms, though genuine 1998 examples in excellent condition command respect among serious enthusiasts. The dispenser works perfectly with PEZ candy and stands proudly in any collection. Whether you're building a comprehensive Halloween PEZ collection or hunting for every 1998 release, the Pumpkin C remains one of the most charming and accessible seasonal vintage finds from that golden decade of PEZ production. I marked it in the Collectiblz app as one of my favorite pieces to show visitors - it's the kind of dispenser that brings instant smiles.
