The Valentine's Silly Crystal Heart PEZ Dispenser Is the Sweet, Silly Holiday Pick Every Collector Needs
Welcome, fellow candy dispenser fans! Valentine's Day releases are one of my absolute favorite corners of PEZ collecting - there is something about a tiny heart with a personality that just makes a display shelf come alive. And the Valentine's Silly Crystal Heart PEZ Dispenser from 2019 is a perfect example of why.
Meet the Valentine's Silly Crystal Heart
The Valentine's Silly Crystal Heart PEZ Dispenser is an officially released piece from the PEZ Valentine's Day Collection, first introduced in 2019 (Item# 955308). The name says it all - this is a heart character with a playful, goofy expression that leans fully into the fun side of Valentine's Day rather than the sentimental. And honestly, that is what makes it so charming.
The head features a heart-shaped sculpt with a translucent or crystal-clear quality that gives it a light, bright look unlike your standard opaque holiday dispenser. That clear heart design catches display lighting beautifully and gives the piece a slightly elevated feel compared to a typical seasonal release. The silly expression - complete with expressive eyes and a lighthearted mouth - is painted cleanly and with the kind of personality PEZ seasonal characters do best.
Each dispenser comes packaged in a PEZ branded poly bag and includes two rolls of PEZ candy. The candy is made in the U.S.A. and is peanut, tree nut, and gluten-free - a practical bonus if you are giving these as Valentine's Day gifts alongside keeping one sealed for the collection.
Part of the Full 2019 PEZ Valentine's Day Collection
The Silly Crystal Heart is one piece in a larger 2019 Valentine's lineup from PEZ, and collecting the full set together makes for a wonderful themed display. The full PEZ Valentine's Day Collection includes:
- Valentine's Happy Heart - a cheerful companion piece with its own expressive design, available in both carded and poly bag packaging variants.
- Valentine's Happy Crystal Heart - a crystal-clear heart character with a happy expression, pairing directly with the Silly Crystal Heart as the two crystal-style pieces in the lineup.
- Valentine's Love Bear - a bear character that brings a cuddly, classic Valentine's energy to the set.
- Valentine's Love PEZemoji - a love-themed version of the popular PEZemoji character style.
- Valentine's Kissing PEZemoji - a kissy-face PEZemoji that rounds out the emoji-style pieces in the collection.
The two crystal-style pieces - the Silly Crystal Heart and the Happy Crystal Heart - are a natural pair, and displaying them together highlights how PEZ used the translucent sculpt approach to create a little sub-theme within the Valentine's release.
The Design Detail That Makes This One Stand Out
Among all the dispensers in the 2019 Valentine's lineup, the Silly Crystal Heart earns its name through that combination of transparent material and expressive character painting. A clear or translucent head is not something PEZ uses for every holiday release, and it gives this dispenser a distinct visual identity on the shelf. The paint applications for the facial details are what bring the "silly" to life - and PEZ delivers clean, consistent work on these smaller seasonal pieces that holds up well over time.
The Silly Crystal Heart is one of those dispensers that reminds me why I love seasonal PEZ releases so much. It is not a blockbuster licensed character - it is just a tiny, happy little heart with a goofy face and a crystal finish, and on a shelf full of serious collector pieces, that kind of charm is exactly what a Valentine's display needs.

Display Ideas
The Silly Crystal Heart looks best when displayed alongside the full 2019 Valentine's PEZ set. Arrange the whole lineup in a small cluster on a shelf with red or pink accents - a ribbon, a small heart dish, or a few loose candy hearts around the base - and you have an instant Valentine's Day vignette that is 100% candy collector approved. If you have Valentine's PEZ releases from other years, grouping by theme across years creates a fun evolving display of how PEZ has approached the holiday over time.
This one has been on my need list for a while. The crystal heart sculpt paired with that silly expression is exactly the kind of playful design that catches my eye, and I want to pair it with the Happy Crystal Heart for a matched display. I have it saved on my need list in the Collectiblz app - it is my go-to for keeping track of everything I am still hunting. If you are building out your Valentine's PEZ collection, the app is a great way to organize your want list so you do not miss a piece from the set.
