2026 Topps Disney Neon Card #31 - Buzz Lightyear: To Infinity and Beyond in the Most Electrifying Base Set of the Year!
To Infinity and Into My Collection: 2026 Topps Disney Neon Card #31 - Buzz Lightyear!
Hey there, fellow collectors! Tilly here, and I am absolutely bursting with excitement today because we are talking about one of the most iconic characters in all of Pixar history - and he just landed in the 2026 Topps Disney Neon Base Set in the most spectacular, electrifying way imaginable. Card #31 is none other than Buzz Lightyear from the legendary Toy Story franchise, and trust me when I say this card is every bit as dazzling as the Space Ranger himself. 🎴
The 2026 Topps Disney Neon set is a stunning 200-card explosion of color and character that captures the full Disney universe through a brilliant, glowing neon lens. Released in April 2026, this set features first-ever Topps cards for characters from Phineas and Ferb, Gargoyles, Descendants, and Epic Mickey - making it a landmark release in the hobby. Buzz Lightyear claims card number 31 in the base set, sitting right in the heart of the Toy Story run - a tight and wonderful grouping of cards that I want every single set builder to pay close attention to. More on that in just a moment!
The Card Itself: Neon Glow Meets Space Ranger Perfection
If you have never held a Topps Disney Neon base card, let me paint the picture for you. The design philosophy here is bold, vivid, and unapologetically electric. Buzz Lightyear was absolutely born for this treatment. His iconic purple-and-white spacesuit practically radiates against the neon-charged background, with colors that pop off the card in a way that feels like he is ready to blast off any second. The character art captures Buzz in his full heroic stance - that confident, wide-eyed Space Ranger pose that Pixar perfected and that generations of fans have adored since 1995. The neon palette wraps the illustration in that signature glow that makes every card in this set feel alive and full of energy. It is one of those cards you pull from a pack and immediately hold up to the light just to watch it shimmer. ✨
The Topps Disney Neon base set cards are standard-thickness, making them a perfect fit for an Ultra Pro Hinged Card Holder for easy display on your shelf or desk - it snaps shut beautifully and keeps the card safe while showing off every inch of that neon glow. If you are building the full Toy Story run or working toward the complete 200-card base set, an Ultra Pro Premium Pro Binder is absolutely ideal for keeping everything organized, protected, and show-ready in gorgeous nine-pocket pages.
The Full Toy Story Run - Do Not Stop at Just One! 🏰
Here is the thing about card #31 that makes it even more exciting - it is part of a beautiful Toy Story grouping in the Topps Disney Neon checklist. Cards 31 through 36 represent a full Toy Story mini-run, and if you are building the base set, you are going to want every single one of them. Together they form one of the most complete and delightful franchise groupings in the entire 200-card set.
- Card #31 - Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story) - Our shining star, glowing in full neon Space Ranger glory
- Card #32 - Woody (Toy Story) - The cowboy sheriff who started it all, neon-lit and loyal as ever
- Card #33 - Jessie (Toy Story) - The yodeling cowgirl with the biggest heart in Pixar history
- Card #34 - Zurg (Toy Story 2) - Evil Emperor Zurg finally gets his neon close-up and it is glorious
- Card #35 - Duke Caboom (Toy Story 4) - Canada's greatest stuntman, neon-lit and ready to fly off the shelf
- Card #36 - Ducky and Bunny (Toy Story 4) - The carnival duo that stole every scene and now steals every collection
Whether you are a lifelong Toy Story fan or a dedicated set builder working toward full 200-card completion, this is one run you absolutely do not want to leave incomplete. These six cards together tell the story of an entire beloved franchise across four films, and in neon? They are nothing short of magical.
A Little Nostalgia From the Kingdom 🎆
Buzz Lightyear holds such a warm place in my Disney parks heart. I remember playing Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World - hunting those spell cards through the park with the determination of a seasoned collector - and walking past the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters attraction glowing nearby in Tomorrowland. There is something so deeply magical about seeing a character woven through the entire Disney experience - from the silver screen to the parks to a glowing trading card in the palm of your hand. That is the kind of connection that turns a base card into something that truly feels like a treasure.
Every great collection starts with a single card that makes your heart skip a beat. For so many of us, Buzz Lightyear has been making hearts skip beats since the very beginning - and this neon version is no different. To infinity and beyond means something different when it is your card count, but the spirit is exactly the same.
Collector Notes: Who Is This Card For?
Card #31 Buzz Lightyear is a standard base card in the 2026 Topps Disney Neon Base Set, making it wonderfully accessible for set builders chasing full 200-card completion. It is also a must-have for character collectors who track every Buzz Lightyear card across the entire Topps Disney ecosystem. With the neon aesthetic making this one of the most visually distinctive Buzz cards in the hobby right now, parallel chasers will want to hunt down the Rainbow Foilboard (1:2 packs), the Neon Green numbered to 199, the Diamante variants, and of course the ultra-rare 1-of-1 Foilfractor. Hit chasers, keep an eye out for those low-numbered treasures - every tier of this set rewards the patient collector.
If you are using the Collectiblz app to track your 2026 Topps Disney Neon checklist progress, make sure to mark card #31 as Have once it lands in your hands - and then start hunting the rest of that gorgeous Toy Story run while you are at it! 💖
Until next time, keep chasing the cards that light up your world - because that is truly what this incredible hobby is all about.
