Topps Disney Neon Manga Madness MM-7 Boost: The Cars Insert That Glows Like a Neon Street Race!
Rev Your Engines, Collectors - Boost Has Arrived in Manga Style! ✨
Hey there, fellow Disney card fanatics! Tilly here, and I am absolutely over the moon about today's spotlight. We are diving into one of the most unexpected and delightful inserts from the 2026 Topps Disney Neon lineup - the Manga Madness insert set - and specifically, card MM-7: Boost from Pixar's Cars. Now I know what you might be thinking - Boost? From Cars? In a manga-inspired insert? And the answer is yes, and it is every bit as electric and wild as it sounds. Buckle up, because this one is a ride! 🏰
Meet the Card: 2026 Topps Disney Neon - Manga Madness MM-7 Boost
The 2026 Topps Disney Neon set launched on April 17, 2026, bringing with it a bold, glowing celebration of Disney and Pixar's most beloved characters. The base set of 200 cards covers heroes, villains, and fan favorites from across the entire Disney universe - and yes, Boost actually has his very own base card at number 98 in the set too! But today we're talking about something extra special: his Manga Madness insert card, numbered MM-7.
The Manga Madness insert series reimagines select Disney and Pixar characters through a manga-inspired art lens, and the results are absolutely stunning. Boost - the sleek, low-slung purple and blue import tuner from the original Cars film - is rendered in high-contrast manga illustration style. Think sharp, stylized lines, exaggerated speed energy, and that signature manga expressiveness that transforms a beloved Pixar character into something that feels like it jumped right off the page of an action manga. Against the electric neon color palette that defines the entire Topps Disney Neon product line, MM-7 Boost looks like a street racer built for a glowing, futuristic world. The colors pop, the lines sing, and every detail crackles with kinetic energy.
Who Is Boost? The Cars Connection
If you remember the first Cars movie with a warm heart - and I absolutely do, because watching Lightning McQueen race across that screen is one of my most cherished animated movie memories - then you might remember Boost and his import racing crew. Boost, alongside DJ, Wingo, and Snot Rod, was part of that unforgettable group of street racers who crossed paths with Lightning and Mack on the highway. They were not the heroes, but they had personality for days. That purple, neon-lit, ground-hugging body style made Boost visually iconic, and honestly? He was absolutely made for a neon trading card.
There is something so perfectly fitting about a neon-inspired trading card set featuring a car who practically glows with neon energy. When I first spotted this card, I felt that same burst of pure color excitement I get when I walk down Main Street at Disneyland in the evening and all the lights come on, making the whole street shimmer like a dream. That kind of visual delight is exactly what great insert art should deliver.
The Manga Madness Insert Set
The Manga Madness insert is one of the most distinctive and artistically adventurous series within the 2026 Topps Disney Neon product. While the base set features 200 gorgeous neon-themed cards spanning the full Disney and Pixar universe, the Manga Madness inserts take select characters and give them a completely fresh visual identity through manga-inspired illustration. The numbered MM prefix on each card makes them easy to track, and set collectors will want to chase down every single card in the series.
MM-7 Boost is just one stunning piece of this vibrant insert puzzle. Whether you are a Cars superfan hunting every Boost appearance across sets - and do not sleep on base card #98 in this very product! - or a manga art lover who wants the most visually dynamic and unique cards in the hobby, the Manga Madness series absolutely delivers on every front. Each card in the run reimagines a familiar character in a bold new way, making the full set a genuinely gorgeous artistic achievement.
Collector Notes: Where MM-7 Fits in the Hobby
As an insert card within the 2026 Topps Disney Neon set, MM-7 Boost sits in that sweet spot for collectors of all types. It is not a base card, which set builders need for completion, but it carries that extra collectible appeal and character focus that makes inserts so beloved in the trading card hobby. For Cars character collectors, this card is an absolute must-chase. Boost does not always get the dedicated spotlight - Lightning McQueen and Mater tend to dominate the Cars card universe - so a dedicated Manga Madness insert is a genuinely exciting and unexpected treat.
Hit chasers should also take note: insert parallels in the 2026 Topps Disney Neon lineup can include low-numbered versions that are extremely tough pulls. Numbered parallels, Gold versions, and the legendary 1/1 Superfractor are all out there in the hobby waiting to be found. If you are chasing a rainbow of this Manga Madness Boost card, those tiers are where the real treasure lives. For set builders, the full Manga Madness checklist is the goal, and MM-7 is a card you absolutely want to check off the list.
Some collectors always chase the biggest names, but the real magic in this hobby is finding the card you never expected - the one that makes you stop, smile, and fall completely in love with collecting all over again. For me, MM-7 Boost is exactly that kind of magical surprise.
Display and Storage Ideas
Once you have this beauty in hand, you will want to show it off properly! For an insert of this visual caliber, I love slipping it into an Ultra Pro Hinged Card Holder - the rigid, crystal-clear construction keeps that gorgeous manga artwork front and center without any risk of bending, scratching, or fading. The clean display framing lets the neon colors and manga linework really breathe and shine.
If you are building a dedicated display of your full Manga Madness run, an Ultra Pro Card Storage Box is a perfect home for the entire insert series. It keeps every card in the set organized, protected, and easy to flip through whenever you want to admire your collection. Pairing the Manga Madness inserts alongside your 2026 Topps Disney Neon base set and parallels creates a genuinely stunning visual showcase of the modern Disney collecting hobby at its most colorful and creative.
Track It on Collectiblz
Already pulled MM-7 Boost from a pack? Head over to the Collectiblz app and mark it as a Have on your 2026 Topps Disney Neon checklist! Tracking your inserts alongside your base cards and parallels is the absolute best way to watch your collection grow - and trust me, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing that completion progress tick upward after landing a beautiful insert like this one. The Manga Madness set is a small but mighty checklist, and every card you mark off brings you closer to completing one of the most artistically unique insert runs in the entire Topps Disney Neon product.
Until next time, keep revving those pack-opening engines, keep your eyes open for every Manga Madness card in the wild, and never ever underestimate the power of a glowing neon street racer rendered in manga style. Happy collecting, friends! 🎴
