The PEZ Winter Plush Dispenser Set Is the Cozy Holiday Collection Every Seasonal Display Needs
Welcome, fellow candy dispenser fans! Winter is always a good time to talk about holiday PEZ, and the Winter Plush set is one of those releases that just makes a seasonal display feel complete.
Meet the PEZ Winter Plush Set
The PEZ Winter Plush dispenser collection is a holiday-themed set from PEZ Candy featuring four charming winter characters: a Penguin, a Reindeer, a Snowman, and a Polar Bear. Originally introduced by PEZ in 2010, the set saw continued availability through 2015, when it was also released in a keychain dispenser format. The entire set is now officially retired, making the 2015 keychain editions a particularly fun find for holiday PEZ collectors.
What makes this set stand out right away is the "plush" concept behind the character designs. Rather than going for sharper or more cartoonish sculpts, PEZ leaned into soft, rounded, almost stuffed-animal-inspired aesthetics for each of these four characters. The result is a lineup that feels cozy, cuddly, and perfectly in step with the spirit of the winter holiday season.
A Closer Look at the Characters
Each of the four dispensers in the Winter Plush set brings its own personality to the shelf:
- Penguin - A round-faced, wide-eyed holiday penguin with soft coloring that reads as friendly and festive. The sculpt captures that classic stuffed penguin look perfectly.
- Reindeer - Complete with antlers and a warm expression, the Reindeer dispenser fits right in with classic Christmas imagery. The plush-style sculpting on the face gives it a gentler, more approachable feel than a traditional reindeer character.
- Snowman - Arguably the most iconic of the four, the Snowman dispenser features the kind of round, cheerful face that feels straight out of a holiday greeting card. The 2015 keychain version of this dispenser is a particularly well-documented piece within the set.
- Polar Bear - Soft white sculpting, a gentle expression, and that plush roundness that ties the whole set together. The Polar Bear is a natural fit for winter-themed displays and pairs especially well with the Penguin.
The Keychain Format - A 2015 Detail Worth Noting
The 2015 release of the Winter Plush set came in a keychain dispenser format, which means each dispenser features a keychain ring attachment at the stem. This is a detail that matters to completionist collectors because it distinguishes the 2015 pieces from earlier runs of the same characters. If you are building a complete Winter Plush collection, tracking down the keychain variants specifically dated to 2015 adds a fun layer to the hunt.
Keychain PEZ dispensers have a dedicated following among collectors who appreciate the portability and the way the keychain format gives these pieces a slightly different display presence than standard-stem dispensers.
"Four soft, rounded winter characters on one shelf - the Winter Plush set is exactly the kind of release that makes a holiday display feel cohesive instead of scattered. Each piece belongs next to the others, and together they tell a complete little winter story." - Callie Douglas
