2025 COSMOS Disney: Die Cuts Jiminy Cricket (CDT-YX-130) - Pinocchio's Noble Conscience!

A Cricket's Wisdom Across the Cosmos

Jiminy Cricket holds a special place in my heart-not just because he's one of Disney's most iconic sidekicks, but because his role represents something timeless: the voice of conscience, the friend who keeps you honest. Every time I rewatch Pinocchio, I'm struck by how Jiminy carries the weight of being responsible for guiding another creature toward righteousness, and he does it with warmth, humor, and unwavering loyalty. The Jiminy Cricket COSMOS Die-Cut (CDT-YX-130) captures that noble character perfectly.

Growing up, I spent countless afternoons at the Magic Kingdom, and whenever I'd catch a glimpse of Jiminy in the parades or character meet-and-greets, it would transport me right back to that original 1940 film. There's something timeless about Pinocchio-a film about becoming real, about growing up, about finding your place in the world. Jiminy's journey is the throughline of that entire story.

The Art of a Conscience in Die-Cut Form

The die-cut treatment makes Jiminy's iconic silhouette absolutely shine. You can see every detail-his top hat, his cane, that distinguished little cricket frame-cut to perfection and infused with COSMOS iridescence. The artwork captures him mid-gesture, as if he's about to deliver one of his sage pieces of advice. The shimmer and movement of the die-cut surface mirrors the magic that surrounds his character throughout the film.

Being a conscience means knowing when to speak up, even when it's difficult-and Jiminy Cricket knew that better than anyone.

Like the other 2025 COSMOS Disney die-cuts, Jiminy hits at approximately 1:11 packs. For collectors hunting Pinocchio or Disney sidekick characters, this card is essential. The die-cut subset is particularly noteworthy this year-each card receives the full COSMOS treatment with beautiful artwork and special framing that celebrates these timeless characters.

Building Your Pinocchio Collection

I've added this to my needs list because Jiminy Cricket deserves a place of honor in any serious Disney collection. Pair this with other Pinocchio characters if you can hunt them down-Blue Fairy, the Cat and Fox, even Geppetto would make sense. An Ultra Pro die-cut sleeve really showcases the craftsmanship here, and it looks fantastic displayed alongside other classic Disney characters from this release.

Jiminy represents the Disney films we grew up with-stories with actual moral weight, characters who meant something, sidekicks who were worth remembering. Whether you're completing your Pinocchio roster or collecting every die-cut in the 2025 COSMOS line, Jiminy Cricket absolutely deserves to be in your collection.

Keep searching for this little cricket with the big heart-he's a character that transcends trends and generations.
