2025 COSMOS Disney: Die Cuts Hamm (CDT-YX-140) - The Wisecracking Piggy Bank's Cosmic Charm!
When a Piggy Bank Meets the Stars
One of my favorite memories from Disneyland is standing in line for Space Mountain, watching kids everywhere clutching their Toy Story plushes and merchandise. There's something about Hamm that makes people smile-maybe it's his gruff charm, or maybe it's just that no one expects a sarcastic piggy bank to be so lovable. The Hamm COSMOS Die-Cut card (CDT-YX-140) captures that perfect balance of tough exterior and warm heart that made Hamm such an unforgettable character across four Toy Story films.
Hamm's journey through the Toy Story universe is a masterclass in character development. He starts as just comic relief-the rude, sarcastic piggy bank who cracks jokes to deflect from his own insecurities. By the time Toy Story 4 rolls around, you realize he's been the heart of Woody's group all along, the one who holds friendships together through humor and loyalty. This card celebrates that evolution beautifully.
Die-Cut Artistry and Design Excellence
The die-cut format is absolutely perfect for Hamm's character. The shape follows his round, piggy silhouette so naturally that you can almost hear him delivering a sarcastic one-liner. The artwork showcases his bright pink coloring with those signature markings, and the COSMOS treatment adds an ethereal shimmer that somehow makes a piggy bank look cosmic and majestic. The card designer nailed the juxtaposition-here's this humble toy shelf decoration, now immortalized in iridescent splendor.
Even the most cynical among us have a soft side hiding beneath all those wisecracks-Hamm taught us that.
Like Bo Peep's die-cut, Hamm hits the shelves at approximately 1:11 packs, making it moderately accessible while still offering that thrill of the pull. The 2025 COSMOS Disney Die Cuts subset is one of the most visually striking offerings in modern entertainment card releases, and Hamm deserves his place among them.
Collector's Corner and Display Ideas
If you're building a complete Toy Story roster through COSMOS-and honestly, why wouldn't you?-this Hamm die-cut pairs beautifully with Woody, Bo Peep, Jessie, and any other denizens of Andy's toy box. The die-cut format looks absolutely stunning in an Ultra Pro die-cut sleeve, where that COSMOS shimmer really catches the light. Group it with other Toy Story characters, and you've got a display that tells the story of friendship and adventure.
Hamm's appeal transcends age groups. Kids love his humor, adults appreciate the character depth, and collectors recognize him as a pillar of one of cinema's greatest franchises. Whether you're chasing die-cut parallels or building character sets, this card delivers on every front.
Keep hunting for Hamm-because Toy Story just wouldn't be Toy Story without his sardonic wisdom lighting up every scene.
