Rocket Raccoon: The Cunning Guardian of the Galaxy in Disney Infinity 2.0
Meet Rocket Raccoon, the Galaxy's Most Adorable Sharpshooter
Oh, I absolutely adore this sculpt of the Disney Infinity Rocket Raccoon Figure! When I first watched Guardians of the Galaxy on the big screen, I remember being completely charmed by Rocket - this tiny, wise-cracking raccoon with an enormous heart and an even bigger arsenal. There's something so endearing about a character who's been through so much yet still manages to make you laugh. And now, holding this figure in my collection, I'm right back in that theater, remembering every hilarious one-liner and touching moment between Rocket and Star-Lord.
This Disney Infinity 2.0 edition captures Rocket's mischievous personality perfectly. The sculpt shows him in a classic action pose, with his characteristic smirk and those wild, pointed ear tufts that just scream attitude. The detail work on his brown and cream-colored fur is fantastic - you can see the individual brush strokes bringing out his texture and personality. The metallic accents on his weapons and gear really pop against the warm tones of his body. The paint application is sharp and clean, with no sloppy edges, and the eyes are bright and expressive. It really feels like you're looking at the Rocket we know and love from the films.
What I find most impressive is how the figure captures his physical attributes so well. He's sculpted at a dynamic angle, leaning slightly forward with his arms positioned perfectly to suggest he's ready for action. His signature Quantum Cannons are prominently displayed, with excellent detail on the weapon design. The base provides solid support, and the overall proportions are spot-on - he's small but mighty, just like his character!
Now, if you're a Marvel fan, you definitely know Rocket's gameplay powers in Disney Infinity 2.0 are absolutely fantastic. He's equipped with two Quantum Cannons for his ranged attacks, and you can upgrade them to be chargeable for even more devastating power. His melee attack features a shoulder charge that's perfect for getting close and personal with enemies. Plus, he has a Tech ability and can be upgraded to perform a Super Jump - talk about versatile! In the game, Rocket unlocks both the Guardians of the Galaxy Play Set and The Avengers Play Set for 2.0 (though you'll need to collect all ten Crossover Coins to unlock that second play set). Playing as Rocket is an absolute blast - he combines tactical ranged combat with surprising agility.
I've decided to add this figure to my needs collection in the Collectiblz app, which has been such an amazing way to track my Disney Infinity journey. Having Rocket on my need list reminds me of the characters and figures I'm still hunting for, and I love that I can share my collection with other collectors. You can check out what I'm currently seeking on my needs share page - it's wonderful to connect with fellow Disney Infinity enthusiasts who might help me track down those hard-to-find figures!
What really gets me about this figure is how it represents that magical part of my childhood and my renewed love of all things Disney. Rocket Raccoon teaches us that no matter how rough your past, you can choose family and loyalty. As he says in the films, "I'll do it myself" - and that determination shines through in every detail of this sculpt. Whether you're displaying him on a shelf alongside your other Marvel figures, using him to unlock play sets in the game, or collecting him because you simply love the Guardians, this Rocket Raccoon figure is an absolute must-have for any Disney Infinity enthusiast.
