Oh man, I am obsessed with this sculpt. Geeki Tikis has brought us the Mistress of the Dark herself in ceramic glory, and let me tell you, the Geeki Tikis Elvira - 1st Edition is exactly the level of geektastic that makes my home tiki bar the envy of every collector who walks through the door.
For those unfamiliar with the queen of horror hosting, Elvira (played by Cassandra Peterson) burst onto screens in 1981 as the campy, witty, cleavage-proud horror icon who made late-night B-movies actually worth watching. She's sarcastic, fearless, and absolutely hilarious - a true cult legend. I still remember the first time I watched her on late-night cable, and I was instantly hooked. Here was a character who didn't take herself seriously and made horror fun again.
This tiki captures Elvira's signature style perfectly. The sculpt nails her iconic bouffant hair, that mischievous expression, and you can practically feel the sass radiating from the ceramic. The glaze is a gorgeous cream and tan base with incredible hand-painted details - her famous black outfit is rendered in deep gloss black, and the shading gives the piece real depth. The face is incredibly expressive, with those raised eyebrows and that "come hither" smirk that defined her whole character. The hair has beautiful texture work, and the color gradient from the darker roots to the lighter blonde tips shows real craftsmanship.
