Gus Squishmallow - Cinderella's Favorite Mouse Is Now Your New Favorite Squish
Squeaking My Way Into Your Heart - Meet Gus!
Hey there, Squish Squad! Paige here, and I am absolutely losing it over today's find. If you grew up watching Cinderella and rooting for those scrappy little mice to get the job done, then buckle up because this one is going to hit you right in the feels.
The Gus Squishmallow is officially on my radar and honestly? He should be on yours too. This little guy is based on Gus-Gus, Cinderella's roly-poly, cheese-loving sidekick who honestly deserved way more screen time than he got. He's fluffy, he's round, he's gray and white and absolutely precious - and the Squishmallow version captures all of that perfect potato-shaped energy we love about him.
Why Gus Belongs in Your Collection
Let's be real - Disney sidekick characters are underrated in the plush world. Everyone rushes for the princesses, and I get it, I really do. But there is something so special about giving a little love to the supporting cast. Gus held Cinderella DOWN. He was out here dragging a giant key across the floor while literally being hunted by a cat. That kind of loyalty deserves a spot on your shelf.
And Kellytoy absolutely nailed the design. He's got that signature Squishmallow squish - the ultra-soft marshmallow-like texture that you just cannot stop squeezing. Seriously, once you pick him up, good luck putting him down. The gray and white coloring is soft and sweet, and there's just something about his little face that makes you want to give him a big hug and tell him he's doing great.
Size Options for Every Kind of Collector
One of my favorite things about this release is that you've got options, which is always a win. The 6.5 inch size is absolutely adorable for desk displays, tucking into a bookshelf between your other Squishmallows, or gifting to a little Cinderella fan in your life. It's that perfect grab-and-go size that somehow still packs a ton of personality.
Then there's the 14 inch version, and that is the one I personally have my eye on. That size is prime cuddling territory. It's big enough to really hold onto, soft enough to use as an actual pillow, and cute enough that you'll want it front and center in any display. If you're a size collector who likes one of each, grabbing both is absolutely justified. No notes.
Where to Find Him
The good news is that Gus is part of the Disney Sidekicks Collection and is a standard release, so you won't be refreshing pages at midnight hoping to snag a limited drop. You can find him at Walmart, Target, Amazon, and the Disney Store, which means he's actually accessible - and in this economy, that matters.
- Walmart - usually carries both size options
- Target - great for in-store browsing if you want to squeeze before you commit
- Amazon - solid for Prime shipping if you need him ASAP
- Disney Store - perfect if you want that official Disney shopping experience
- Resale markets - available if you missed a particular size or want multiples
There is something magical about a Squishmallow that connects you back to a movie you loved as a kid. Gus does exactly that - he's nostalgia in plush form.
Paige's Final Verdict
Okay, so I rolled the dice on my personal Squish status for this one, and I am officially putting Gus on my needs list - because yes, somehow I do not have him yet and that is a situation I plan to fix immediately. The 14 inch version is calling my name and I am absolutely answering.
Whether you're a Disney collector, a Squishmallow completionist, or just someone who appreciates a very good round mouse plush, Gus deserves a spot in your collection. Go find him, give him a squeeze, and tell him Paige sent you.
Happy squishing!
