Merida: The Courageous Scottish Archer in Disney Infinity 2.0

Merida: The Courageous Scottish Archer in Disney Infinity 2.0

Oh, what a character!

When I first watched Brave, I was absolutely mesmerized by Merida - that fiery red-haired Scottish princess with a bow and an attitude to match. She breaks every mold of what a Disney Princess should be, and I loved that from the very first frame. So when I discovered the Disney Infinity 2.0 Merida figure, I knew I had to have her in my collection. This figure captures everything that makes her special - the wild curls, the determined expression, and that adventurous spirit that defines her character.

The Disney Infinity 2.0 Merida figure is an absolute standout in my collection. She's sculpted in that gorgeous 3-inch scale, with her signature curly red hair beautifully rendered with incredible detail and texture. Her face perfectly captures her confident, spirited nature - you can almost see the determination and independence that defines her character from Brave. What really gets me is how the artists captured her iconic teal dress with excellent paint accuracy, and there's even a lovely clear blue Will-o'-the-wisp ornament at the base of the figure that adds such a magical touch.

In Disney Infinity 2.0, Merida is pure archery magic - literally! Her gameplay abilities center around her mastery with the bow. She launches freezing arrows that lock enemies in place, followed by explosive arrows that pack a serious punch. Her rapid-fire follow-up shots ricocheting off enemies and environmental objects make her incredibly fun to use. The way arrows bounce around the environment reminds me so much of the movie - "If you had a chance to change your fate, would you?" Merida's gameplay absolutely lets you reshape your approach to every battle.

As a Wave 1 launch figure from November 2014, Merida was available both as a solo release and bundled in the Toy Box Starter Pack alongside Stitch. She's a Toy Box figure, which means she works across all of Disney Infinity 2.0's game modes and is compatible with all the power discs for stat boosts, costume changes, and ability enhancements. The skill tree for Merida is divided into four branches - ranged attacks, melee sword combat, special moves, and power disc abilities - so you can customize her playstyle to match your preferences.

I absolutely adore this sculpt, and honestly, when I realized I didn't have her in my Disney Infinity collection yet, I knew I had to add her to my needs list in the Collectiblz app. You can check out my needs list here if you want to see what else I'm hunting for! Merida reminds me why I fell in love with Disney Infinity in the first place - the figures are more than just collectibles; they're gateways to the characters and stories we cherish.

If you're a fan of Brave or just love a strong, independent character with serious gaming chops, the Disney Infinity 2.0 Merida figure is an absolute must-have. She's a perfect example of how these figures capture not just the look of the characters, but their spirit and abilities too.
