Sandoval the Rooster: A Vibrant Day of the Dead Squishmallow with Festive Flair

Rise and Shine with Sandoval!

Oh my gosh, have you met Sandoval the Rooster 8 inch? This absolutely stunning Day of the Dead squad member just arrived and I am completely obsessed with the colors and personality packed into this little guy. The moment I laid eyes on those vibrant indigo, white, and red tones, I knew Sandoval was going straight into my squad - because let's be real, a rooster this gorgeous deserves a permanent spot in any Squishmallow collection.

What makes Sandoval so special is how perfectly the Day of the Dead aesthetic comes through in the design. The color palette is just chef's kiss - that rich indigo mixed with white and red accents gives him this festive, celebratory vibe that honestly makes me smile every time I pick him up. At 8 inches, he's got that perfect mid-size huggability factor. He's not a giant that takes up your whole shelf, but he's big enough to feel substantial and cuddly, which is exactly what I love about Squishmallows in this size range.

The rooster character brings such a fun energy to the Day of the Dead squad. Sandoval's got that proud, spirited personality you'd expect from a rooster, but with the cultural richness of the Day of the Dead collection. I love how Squishmallow keeps finding ways to celebrate different cultures and traditions through their characters. This squad is one of my favorites because it combines softness with cultural storytelling, and that's just beautiful.

Collector-wise, Sandoval arrived with the 2025 releases and is definitely one to watch for. If you're into the Day of the Dead squad like I am, you know these limited cultural collections move fast. The 8-inch size seems to be the sweet spot for availability, and honestly, it's my favorite anyway. I've been hunting for the complete squad, and I'm thrilled to have Sandoval in my collection. He's got his collector number 2854, which I always jot down in my tracking spreadsheet because keeping organized is half the fun of collecting.

I actually found this beauty on a random Target run last month - you know how it is when you just pop in for milk and end up discovering a Squishmallow you didn't even know existed? That was my Sandoval moment. I grabbed him immediately because the Day of the Dead releases don't stick around for long, and I knew I'd be kicking myself if I missed him. Now he's perched on my bedroom shelf next to my other squad members, bringing that festive flair to my collection year-round. I'm still hunting for a few more pieces to complete the full squad, and I'm actually tracking them on my needs list in the Collectiblz app so I don't forget!

If you're a Squishmallow collector who loves cultural celebrations and bold colors, Sandoval absolutely needs to be on your radar. Whether you're starting the Day of the Dead squad or rounding out your collection, this 8-inch rooster brings style, personality, and that soft-squishy comfort we all crave. Happy hunting, and may your collection grow as colorful as Sandoval's plush exterior!
