Coney the Hot Dog: A Perfectly Toasted Select Series Squishmallow with Serious Collector Appeal
Coney the Hot Dog: A Perfectly Toasted Select Series Squishmallow
Oh my goodness, how do I even start with Coney the Hot Dog 12 inch? This little guy is an absolute gem from the Select Series, and if you love food-themed Squishmallows, you're going to want to add him to your squad. The moment I saw him, I knew I had to talk about what makes Coney such a delightfully squishy collector's treasure.
First, let's talk about the design - because Coney is literally a work of art! He's styled as a classic hot dog with rich mustard-yellow and deep red coloring that perfectly captures those iconic condiment details. The browns and tans in his fabric give him that perfectly toasted bun look, and honestly, the color combo is so warm and inviting. You can practically smell the cookout when you hold him.
What really gets me about Coney is how soft this Select Series release is. The fabric has this incredible plushness that just melts in your hands. At 12 inches, he's the perfect size for cuddling - not too big to display, but hefty enough that you know you're holding quality. If you're familiar with other Squishmallows, you know that the Select Series sometimes has a slightly different feel, and Coney totally delivers on that premium softness.
The collector backstory for Coney is adorable too. He's a bookworm who literally built a lending library in front of his apartment! There's this whole thing about his rule that you can't start a story until you're on the sidewalk because he learned the hard way that tales aren't worth falling down 12 stories over. It's these quirky character bios that make the Squishmallow squad feel so alive and relatable.
Availability-wise, Coney is officially part of the Select Series lineup and was released in 2025. He's exclusive to online retail through the official Jazwares shop, though he's also popping up on secondary markets like eBay. Right now, he's actually pretty hard to find at retail prices, which tells you something about how collectors are snatching him up. If you're hunting for him, the 12-inch "Footlong" version is the true collector's piece.
I actually have Coney on my needs list in the Collectiblz app, because honestly, as someone who adores food-themed plushes, he's totally worth hunting down. The Select Series releases are always quality, and this hot dog has that perfect combination of gorgeous colors, incredible softness, and collector appeal that makes him stand out.
Whether you're building out your food squad or just looking for a cozy new friend to cuddle, Coney is absolutely worth tracking down. He's got everything going for him - the colors, the softness, the rarity factor, and that charming bookworm personality.
