When the Lion King Gets Adorably Tiny: Simba's Regal Squish Alots Moment!

A Golden King in the Tiniest Form
I've always had a soft spot for The Lion King - there's something about Simba's journey from carefree cub to noble king that just speaks to my heart. So when I spotted the Disney Doorables Squish Alots Simba from Wave 16, I knew I had to add him to my collection. This little Common pull might not be a rare treasure, but he's absolutely charming in his own right.
What gets me about the Squish Alots line is how they capture these characters in such playful moments - and Simba is no exception. He's got that signature oversized eyes and squishy texture that makes the whole line so huggable. His golden-yellow coloring is bright and true to the character, with subtle shading on his mane that gives him real presence for such a tiny figure. He's about 1.5 inches tall, which is standard for the line, but what makes him special is the little details: you can see the individual texture of his fur, and his expression is somewhere between regal and utterly adorable.
A Memory of Pride Rock and Pizza Planet
The first time I saw The Lion King in theaters was during a WDW vacation when I was seven years old. I remember sitting in the dark theater, absolutely mesmerized by Simba's story. Years later, when I renewed my annual pass for the millionth time, I made a point to catch the Festival of The Lion King at Animal Kingdom - just to relive that magic. Every time I open one of these Doorables, especially a character as iconic as Simba, it brings back that same sense of wonder.
"Simba in Squish Alots form is peak Disney collecting - you get the character you love in a totally new way, without the pressure of chasing a rare pull. Sometimes the Common rarity is exactly what your collection needs."
Display and Collecting Notes
I've got Simba living on one of my floating shelves with the other Wave 16 Doorables - they line up beautifully from left to right, and seeing them all together reminds me how different each character looks in miniature form. For a figure like Simba, I'd recommend a tiered acrylic riser if you're displaying a full wave, or a small shadow box with a Pride Rock-themed background if you want to give him his own spotlight. The golden tones in his coloring really pop against deeper backgrounds.
This pull marks another wave completed on my ongoing journey through the Doorables lines. Common or not, every figure tells a story, and Simba's story is one I'll never get tired of collecting.
