2026 Topps Chrome Disney: Monsters Inc. 25th Anniversary (MI-15) - Monster Magic in Chromium Shimmer!
Monsters Inc. 25th Anniversary Magic in Chrome
What a delightful time to celebrate Monsters Inc.! This 25th anniversary is hitting all the nostalgia notes, and this Topps Chrome card is pure collectible magic. The Pixar classic released in 2001, giving us one of the most adorable and hilarious worlds to escape into - Monstropolis! And what better way to celebrate than with Topps Chrome Disney card featuring Ted Pauley from Monsters Inc.? It's the final card (MI-15) in the 15-card Monsters Inc. anniversary subset, and it's absolutely gorgeous.
I still remember taking my first trip to Disneyland Paris and seeing the Monsters Inc. theming around the park. The energy, the laughter, the pure joy of seeing Sulley and Mike come to life - it never gets old. Now with Monsters Inc. 3 officially in development and a brand-new Monstropolis-themed roller coaster coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios, 2026 is the year to celebrate this beloved franchise with everything you've got.
The Chromium Finish: Shimmer and Shine
The Topps Chrome finish on this card is what makes it truly special. The laminated chromium construction gives it that sleek metallic feel - sharper visuals, noticeably more durable cardstock. But here's the real magic: the refractor technology creates that distinctive rainbow effect. Tilt this card in the light and you'll see a spectrum of colors dancing across the surface, bending and refracting depending on your viewing angle. It's the kind of card that catches the light on a shelf display and just steals the moment.
Ted Pauley, the yeti-like abominable creature from Monsters Inc., is captured in all his furry, expressive glory. The chrome treatment brings out every detail - the texture, the personality, the charm. I found myself lost staring at this card for longer than I'd like to admit, just watching how the refractor shifts from blue to gold to purple.
A Collector's Moment
The 25th anniversary feels like the perfect time to round out your Monster family. Between the MI-15 base card sitting at a 1:10 pull rate, and the rainbow of refractor parallels - Orange (/25), Black (/10), Red (/5), and the legendary SuperFractor 1/1 - there are hunt levels for every collector. Whether you're building the base set or chasing that elusive parallel shimmer, this card represents a milestone moment for one of Pixar's most iconic films.
I'm adding this beauty to my Topps Chrome Disney collection. There's something about holding a card that celebrates both the nostalgia of a beloved film and the excitement of what's coming next. If you're hunting monsters this season, this one should be on your list - or better yet, on my needs list if you want to help me complete my Monstropolis mission!
Sometimes the rarest treasures are the ones that take us back to the laughter and joy of simpler times - and this chromium beauty does exactly that.
