The 2009 Boston Red Sox Baseball PEZ Dispenser Is the Team Pride Essential Every Baseball Collector Deserves
Today I'm featuring the Boston Red Sox Baseball PEZ Dispenser, one of the MLB-licensed collectibles that brings serious ballpark pride to any candy dispenser collection. Released in 2009 as part of Major League Baseball's collaboration with PEZ, this Boston Red Sox beauty captures the spirit of America's favorite pastime in classic PEZ form.
The dispenser features a traditional PEZ head sculpt with the Red Sox logo prominently displayed on the front, while the back shows the official MLB emblem. It comes with three refill packs of PEZ candy, making it both a display piece and a functional collectible. The color scheme reflects Boston's iconic red and navy palette, with a crisp baseball-inspired design that any serious sports fan can appreciate.
What makes the Boston Red Sox Baseball dispenser stand out is its place in the broader 2009 MLB series. PEZ released multiple baseball team dispensers that year, and this Red Sox version captures a particular era of Major League Baseball licensing. I found mine at a convention a few years back, and it's been a treasured part of my sports dispenser collection ever since. I've marked it in my Collectiblz app so I can track it alongside my other baseball memorabilia.
There's something special about owning a piece of MLB history through the lens of candy dispensers. These small collectibles bridge childhood nostalgia with adult fandom, and the Red Sox baseball dispenser does both beautifully.
The 2009 Boston Red Sox Baseball PEZ Dispenser is ideal for anyone building a comprehensive sports collection, PEZ enthusiasts who follow baseball, or collectors who appreciate the nostalgic appeal of licensed MLB merchandise. The candy it dispenses adds a playful element to display shelving, and it pairs wonderfully with other baseball-themed collectibles or stands alone as a charming conversation starter.
If you've been hunting for this piece, keep an eye out at collector conventions and online marketplaces. The 2009 Boston Red Sox Baseball PEZ Dispenser deserves a home in any collection that celebrates both confectionery history and American baseball tradition.
