When a Tiny Desert Dweller Brings the Force: Porg's Star Wars Doorables Moment!

When a Tiny Desert Dweller Brings the Force: Porg's Star Wars Doorables Moment!

A Surprise from a Galaxy Far, Far Away

I just opened today's blind bag pull, and guess what came tumbling out? The adorable little Disney Doorables Star Wars Series 3 Porg! This tiny Resistance cutie instantly made my day. Porgs might be small in the Star Wars universe, but in Doorables form, they pack SO much charm into that 1.5-inch frame. I'm already grinning thinking about where this little guy is going to live on my collection shelf.

The Tiniest Force-Sensitive Creature

The Porg Doorable is absolutely precious with its signature oversized glossy eyes - that's the Doorables trademark I love - and the soft brown coloring that perfectly captures the character. You can see the little details: the feathered texture on its wings, that inquisitive expression, the tiny beak caught mid-chirp. It's all there, miniaturized to perfection. All of this magic is packed into that 1.5-inch frame that's become iconic for the Doorables line.

As part of the Star Wars Series 3 collection, it slots perfectly alongside the other galaxy favorites. This is a common rarity pull, which means these little guys are flowing out of blind bags regularly. I marked this one in my Collectiblz app already - I love tracking all my pulls, whether they're commons or Ultra Rares. There's something special about the common pulls - they're the heart of building out your complete wave, and honestly? The charm doesn't depend on rarity. A common Porg still brings the same joy as pulling a rare.

From Screen to Shelf

Porgs first captured our hearts in The Last Jedi when they swarmed around Chewbacca on Ahch-To. I still remember sitting in the theater, watching them cause total chaos on the Millennium Falcon and laughing at how adorable they were despite being tiny space creatures. My friends were rolling their eyes at me for being more entertained by the Porgs than the plot, but that's who I am. I came for the epic space battles, but I stayed for the adorable alien birds.

Seeing this little Doorables version on my shelf now feels like bringing a piece of that Star Wars magic right into my home office. My collection is split across different shelves - the main Doorables on the floating shelves above my desk organized by wave, and my Munchlings taking pride of place in the kitchen. But I'm already planning a dedicated Star Wars shrine to bring all my Star Wars Doorables together in one place.

There's something about pulling a character you genuinely love from a blind bag - even if it's just a common - that makes the whole unboxing ritual feel worth it. You never know what's coming, and that first moment of recognition, that little spark of joy when you see the character's eyes staring back at you... that never gets old, no matter how many bags you've opened.

Building the Star Wars Wave Collection

The Star Wars Series 3 line has been a blast to collect. Each pull is like opening a little piece of galaxy lore right there at home. Whether you're pulling Porgs, droids, Jedi, or fan favorites, there's something for everyone. I've been chasing some of the rarer variants in the series, but getting the commons out of the way first means my wave collection is filling out nicely.

Display Ideas & Collection Plans

I'm planning to arrange all my Star Wars Series 3 figures together on a dedicated floating wall shelf - maybe creating a little scene with a printed backdrop of a galaxy or Ahch-To planet setting to make a proper thematic vignette. The Porg would look especially good front and center with its bright eyes catching the light. I'm imagining it with some of the other bird-like creatures from the series for a fun little corner display.

I love having dedicated shelves for each theme or franchise in my collection. The way the Porg's little eyes catch the light, it really deserves a spot where it can shine. Floating wall shelves are perfect for Doorables since they let you show off each figure individually without cluttering the space. Plus, with the oversized eyes as the star feature, you want viewers to be able to see them clearly.

Whether you're a huge Star Wars fan or just can't resist the adorable factor, the Porg Doorable is an absolute must-pull. Have you gotten one yet? Let me know in the comments what your best Star Wars Doorables pull has been!
