When a Loyal Droid Gets Ultra Rare: BB-8's Star Wars Doorables Spotlight!
The Adorable Droid You Didn't Know You Needed!
When I spotted the Disney Doorables Star Wars BB-8 (Bag #23) in my latest Doorables pull, I actually had to do a double-take. BB-8 is one of those characters that somehow manages to steal every scene, even when that scene is a tiny blind bag moment. This little droid has those signature glossy oversized eyes that make the whole Doorables line so special, and seeing them on such an iconic character just hits different. ✨
The Details That Make This Droid Special
BB-8 in this Ultra Rare form is absolutely gorgeous. The paintwork captures that perfect blend of white, orange, and metallic accents that make BB-8 instantly recognizable. Standing at about 1.5 inches tall, this tiny droid has so much personality packed into such a small package. The glossy finish really brings out the color work, and the proportions are spot-on for how everyone imagines this beloved character.
Finding an Ultra Rare pull from the Star Wars collection is honestly one of those collector moments that never gets old. The rarity tier hits different when it's a character as beloved as BB-8. This little droid has been through so much in the Star Wars universe - piloting ships, sending messages, chirping encouragement - and now it gets its moment as a tiny collectible masterpiece.
There's something magical about getting a character you genuinely love in the rarest tier. It's like the blind bag gods said, "Hey Daisy, we know you love this little droid - here's the proof!"
I've been a Star Wars fan my whole life, growing up rewatching the original trilogy and then getting to experience the sequel films. BB-8's introduction in The Force Awakens was such a breath of fresh air - a droid with actual personality and charm. Every time I visit the parks, I find myself gravitating toward the Star Wars merch, and now I've got this tiny, perfect version to add to my collection.
Display Dreams for This Little Droid
I'm thinking a tiered acrylic riser would be perfect for BB-8, especially if I can line it up with other Star Wars Doorables. Right now it's living on my floating shelf above my desk with my other Ultra Rare pulls, each one getting that extra breathing room they deserve. The way the light hits that metallic finish is just chef's kiss.
This is definitely one of those pieces that makes me smile every time I look at it. Ultra Rare pulls never get old, and when they're characters this beloved, it's an extra special moment. ✨
