Finn: The Desert Scavenger Brings Star Wars Awakening Energy to Disney Infinity 3.0

The Hero of the Resistance

Oh, the Force is calling! When I first saw Finn on screen in The Force Awakens, I was absolutely captivated by his journey from a stormtrooper to a true hero of the Resistance. There's something so inspiring about a character who finds his own path and stands up for what's right. The Disney Infinity 3.0 Finn Light FX Figure captures that spark of hope and determination perfectly, and honestly, I couldn't be happier to add this to my collection!

The Sculpt and Design

The detail on this Finn figure is just magical. Hasbro has captured his signature look from The Force Awakens: that grey and black stormtrooper outfit he wears when he defects from the First Order, complete with the darker weathered tones that show his struggle for survival on Jakku. His expression is one of determination and hope, with that characteristic focus in his eyes that makes Finn so relatable. The Light FX feature brings an added magic - when you place him on the Disney Infinity base, his weapon lights up with an energetic glow that perfectly matches the action and excitement of his character!

Gameplay and Abilities

In the Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars: The Force Awakens Play Set, Finn is a blast to play with. He brings agility and combat skills to your team, making him perfect for action sequences. His abilities tap into his training as a stormtrooper while showcasing the resourcefulness he gained as a Jakku scavenger. Playing as Finn in the game lets you experience his growth firsthand, from that pivotal moment of defection to becoming a true Resistance fighter. The Light FX feature adds visual flair to every combat encounter, making his attacks feel more impactful and immersive.

Colors and Finish

The paint application on this figure is excellent. The greys and blacks of his outfit are clean and well-defined, with subtle weathering that gives the impression of his journey through the desert. His face has great detail and character, painted with care to capture that earnest, determined expression. The gloss finish on his weapon contrasts beautifully with the matte finish of his clothing, creating depth and visual interest. For a figure in this price range, the quality is absolutely stellar.

Part of the Resistance

This figure is part of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Play Set family, which includes Rey, Kylo Ren, and Poe Dameron. Together, they bring the full scope of the Resistance versus the First Order conflict to your Disney Infinity base. Displaying Finn alongside Rey is particularly special - their friendship and partnership are so central to the story, and seeing them together on a shelf really celebrates that bond.

A Personal Connection

I remember sitting in the theater, watching The Force Awakens for the first time, and being absolutely blown away by Finn's character arc. His journey from doubt to courage resonated with me so deeply. There's a quote from the movie that I absolutely love: "I know what I have to do. I just don't know if I'm strong enough to do it." That's Finn in a nutshell - doubting himself but pushing forward anyway. Every time I look at this Light FX figure, I'm reminded of that beautiful message of hope.
