Jasmine Goes Academic: When Aladdin's Princess Rules the Academy!

From Palace to Classroom!
One of my favorite things about the Academy Locker line is how it reimagines every character as a student, and pulling Disney Doorables Academy Locker Jasmine from a blind bag this week reminded me why I love that concept so much. Jasmine as a scholar, bringing her intelligence and independence to the Academy? Absolutely perfect.
Jasmine stands just 1.5 inches tall with all the signature Doorables charm packed into that tiny frame. Her iconic teal outfit is rendered beautifully with gorgeous color work and shading. The oversized glossy Doorables eyes are perfectly executed, capturing her intelligent, confident gaze. Her dark hair is styled with rich depth, and you can see the care taken in painting even the smallest details: the gold accents, the way her outfit sits at this miniature scale. Her pose is calm and assured, like she's already proven herself as one of the Academy's brightest students.
Strong Characters Get Academy Moments Too
Jasmine is one of those Disney characters who deserves more recognition for her strength and intelligence. She's not just a princess waiting for rescue, she's thoughtful, she challenges authority when it's wrong, and she knows what she wants. The Academy Locker line doesn't exclude anyone, and having Jasmine represented in this line means collectors like me can celebrate her character in a whole new way. She's a Common in the Academy line, which means she's one of the more accessible figures to find, but accessibility doesn't make her any less special.
I grew up watching Aladdin and loving Jasmine's confidence and independence. Collecting her across different product lines feels like honoring a character who taught me to value intelligence and self-determination. Every time I find a new Jasmine Doorable, I think about how she stands against injustice in her story, and how cool it is that characters like her are getting the Academy treatment alongside the ultra-rares and the classics.
"Sometimes the Commons are the ones who teach us the most. Jasmine never needed rarity ranking to matter, and she definitely doesn't need one in the Academy either."
Display and Collection Ideas
Because Jasmine is a Common, I might eventually collect multiple variants if they exist, which makes her perfect for a tiered acrylic riser display that groups Academy Commons together. Alternatively, a floating shelf with an Aladdin-themed backdrop, maybe with other Aladdin Doorables if I can track them down, would create a really cool franchise grouping. She'd also look beautiful in a small glass-front display case where her outfit details and calm expression can really shine.
The Academy Locker line keeps reminding me that every character matters, whether they're Ultra Rare or Common. Jasmine deserves her place in my collection, and I'm thrilled to have her as part of my growing Academy ensemble. Here's to strong women, smart characters, and the joy of finding them in blind bags.
