The 2009 Winx PEZ Dispensers Are the Magical Fairy Treasure Every Animated Series Collector Craves
If you grew up watching magical fairy adventures, you'll recognize Bloom, Flora, and Stella from the beloved Italian animated series Winx. These three enchanting characters were immortalized as a set of 2009 Winx PEZ Dispensers by Rainbow Srl, the Italian production company behind the show. This European release captures the spirit of Pixie Hollow-style magic in collectible form, and it's absolutely worth tracking down if you're a fan of both PEZ and animated fairy tales.
What makes this set special is how faithfully each character's design translates to PEZ form. Bloom features her signature pink hair and warm expression, Flora captures her nature-loving aesthetic with earthy tones, and Stella shines with her typical glamorous charm. Each dispenser has the characteristic PEZ head sculpt and the standard candy-dispensing mechanism, making them functional collectibles you can actually enjoy. The paint applications are clean and well-executed, bringing out each fairy's personality even in miniature form.
The Winx series enjoyed a loyal international fanbase, particularly in Europe where these dispensers found their home. This set emerged during the show's peak popularity, and European PEZ releases from this era are increasingly sought after by fans who want to celebrate both their love of the animated series and their PEZ collections. The combination of character appeal and geographic rarity makes these three particularly special to own.
I love discovering pieces like these that weave together two different passions-PEZ collecting and animated nostalgia. The quality of the sculpting and detail in these European releases really stands out, and they make for a fantastic display piece when grouped with other character dispensers from the same era.
For display, these three work beautifully as a grouped set on a shelf dedicated to European PEZ releases or animated character collectibles. Many collectors who love this era of animation find these dispensers to be an essential piece of their Winx nostalgia collection. If you're completing your fairy-themed PEZ set or hunting for authentic European releases, this 2009 trio is well worth the hunt.
