To Infinity and Beyond: LEGO Toy Story 40860 BrickHeadz Celebration
Five Iconic Faces, One Legendary Story
The LEGO Toy Story 40860 BrickHeadz set is a love letter to everyone who's ever reached for the sky. This 528-piece build captures five beloved characters in signature detail: Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and two Pizza Planet Aliens. Every head tells its own story, from Buzz's confident expression to Woody's iconic grin.
What makes this set special is how LEGO's designers balance character recognition with building challenge. The rounded proportions of the BrickHeadz format let them pack personality into every curve, while the piece construction keeps builders engaged without overwhelming newcomers to the theme. I love sets like this that celebrate beloved characters without over-complicating things.
BrickHeadz sets excel at capturing that magical moment when familiar faces click into place - suddenly you've got a room full of characters you grew up with, all built by your own hands.
The color palette is instantly recognizable: Woody's rich brown and tan, Buzz's crisp white and green, Jessie's vibrant yellow and pinks, and the aliens' classic green. Each character uses smart part recoloring across the line, so if you're collecting the whole Toy Story crew, you'll notice the design continuity. The instructions are wonderfully clear - LEGO's BrickHeadz instructions are always a joy to follow.
Display value is huge here. These five characters look fantastic lined up on a shelf, and at roughly 2-3 inches tall when finished, they don't hog shelf space. They work equally well clustered together on a display stand or scattered around a themed collection. The builds are sturdy enough for play but refined enough for mature collectors who want character-focused decoration.
This is definitely a set I'm hunting down. Toy Story has been part of my building journey since I first discovered LEGO, and having these five in BrickHeadz form feels like closing a loop. I've actually added this to my needs list in the Collectiblz app - it's on my radar for the next collection expansion.
If you're a fan of the films, a completionist collecting every BrickHeadz variant, or just someone who loves seeing character design brought to life in brick form, this one's worth tracking down.
