Darius the Meerkat: A Pint-Sized Safari Squad Squishmallow That's Absolutely Charming
Meet Darius: The Tiniest Safari Explorer
If you're looking for a Squishmallow that brings the savanna straight to your collection, let me introduce you to Squishmallow Darius the Meerkat 2 inch. Darius is one of my absolute favorite micro plushes from the Safari Squad, and honestly, the more I collect these teeny 2-inch Squishville friends, the more obsessed I get with them!
The Softest Cream and Tan Dream
What gets me every time with Darius is how incredibly soft the fabric is on these Squishville minis. He's got this gorgeous cream-colored base with warm tan accents, and the most adorable hot pink embroidery details that give him so much personality. His little eye mask, delicate facial features, and pink-tipped tail make him look like he just scampered in from the Kalahari Desert. For a 2-inch plush, the detail work is seriously impressive.
Safari Squad Squad Goals
Darius belongs to the exclusive Safari Squad lineup, which includes five other amazing friends: Parson the Giraffe, Ridelle the Hippo, Deeto the African Wild Dog, Jace the Lion, and Beijo the Elephant. The whole crew is available in Squishville's signature 2-inch size, making them perfect for collectors who love tiny treasures. What I love about this squad is that each character has such distinct personality and coloring-they're almost like a miniature endangered species collection, and it makes hunting for the full set even more thrilling.
Why Darius Is a Must-Have
For such a tiny Squishmallow, Darius packs serious charm. The meerkat species itself is so fun to collect-they're inquisitive, social, and adorable in real life, which totally translates to his plush form. If you're building a complete Safari Squad collection, finding all six in Squishville is a rewarding hunt. You can find Darius at major retailers like eBay, Walmart, Amazon, and specialty toy shops like ToyWiz, so availability is actually pretty decent.
Display and Cuddle Ideas
Darius is the perfect desk buddy or shelf companion for anyone who loves animals, travel, or just incredibly soft micro plushes. He fits perfectly in a small display case, makes an ideal gift for younger collectors, and because he's so compact, you could easily toss him in a bag or pocket for portable cuddles. I also love using these tiny Squishville friends as bookshelf decorations-line up the whole Safari Squad and suddenly your shelf looks like an adventurous, color-coordinated dream.
A Personal Moment
I remember hunting for the Safari Squad set for the first time at Walmart, and when I spotted all six lined up together in those tiny packaging, I literally gasped. There's something magical about Squishville minis that the larger sizes don't quite capture-maybe it's because they feel like secret treasures, or because they're affordable enough to collect in larger numbers. Darius was one of the first I grabbed, and I've been adding to my Safari Squad ever since.
The Collectiblz Connection
I've been tracking my Squishmallow hunts in the Collectiblz app for months now, and Darius is absolutely on my needs list because I want to make sure I eventually secure all six Safari Squad members in Squishville size. There's something deeply satisfying about marking progress toward a complete squad, especially when you can share it with the Collectiblz community.
Final Thoughts
If you're a Squishmallow collector and you haven't explored the Squishville 2-inch lineup yet, you're seriously missing out on pure micro-plush magic. Darius is soft, adorable, and an essential part of any Safari Squad collection. Hunt him down, add him to your crew, and enjoy the cozy comfort of this tiny meerkat friend!
