Saber-Tooth Charm & Secret Creepers Magic: The 2014 Monster High Sweet Fang BJR34 Pet
Hey ghouls! 👋
If you've ever loved a pet that talks, glows, and absolutely steals the show, then the 2014 Monster High Sweet Fang is totally calling your name. This adorable Secret Creepers Pets figure is Toralei Stripe's loyal saber-tooth tiger cub companion, and let me tell you-it's absolutely everything a Monster High collector could want in a tiny, interactive treasure.
Sweet Fang comes with that signature Secret Creepers Pets charm: a light orange fur coat with dark brown and black stripes, a pristine white chest, and those piercing large green eyes that just capture Toralei's whole fierce aesthetic. But here's what makes this little cub truly special-those prominent saber-tooth fangs! Even though Sweet Fang is technically a cub, Mattel didn't hold back on the predator details. The black ascot collar around the neck adds that perfect Monster High touch of style. This pet is small but mighty in presence.
What really sets Sweet Fang apart from regular Monster High dolls is the pop-open head mechanism. Press it down and a glowing green brain lights up-it's such a cool interactive feature that makes you want to display this pet front and center. But wait, there's more. The included recording leash transforms into a voice recorder. Attach the leash and you can record and play back your own custom messages. Disconnect it, and Sweet Fang produces animal sounds instead. I've always loved this feature because it adds this whole layer of play and creativity that older Monster High fans can appreciate just as much as kids do.
One of my favorite collector moments happened when I first discovered how the Secret Creepers Pets could communicate with each other. Two pets can exchange recorded messages by pressing their brains together and connecting their feet. It's such a clever callback to that whole monster-friendship vibe that Monster High was built on-the idea that everyone belongs, even if you're a saber-tooth tiger cub with a glowing brain. "We are all freaky in our own way," right? Sweet Fang absolutely embodies that.
Released in early August 2014 as part of the second wave of Secret Creepers Pets (alongside Cushion), Sweet Fang arrived during a moment when Monster High was really leaning into playful, interactive pet companions. The first wave had brought us Watzit, Sir Hoots A Lot, and Shiver, but this second drop felt especially magical. If you're building a complete Secret Creepers collection, Sweet Fang is definitely a must-have centerpiece.
Brianna's obsession aside, this little orange striped cub has become one of those items that feels rare to find in perfect condition with the original leash and all its pieces intact. Whether you're a Toralei fan, a Secret Creepers devotee, or just someone who loves interactive Monster High toys, the 2014 Sweet Fang BJR34 deserves a prime spot in your collection. And hey, if you're hunting for one, head over to the Monster High Collector archives or check eBay-this pet is out there waiting to bring some saber-tooth magic to your shelf.
If this little one has stolen your heart like it stole mine, I've got a whole needs list in the Collectiblz app where I'm tracking Monster High treasures I'm actively hunting. Come check it out!
