Rick & Morty Morty Smith TUBBZ (Collector's Edition) Review - Aw Geez, The Anxious Sidekick Takes Premium Duck Form
Greetings, Duck Dimension Travelers!
Aw geez, you guys. Just when I thought I'd seen every possible duck mashup in the multiverse, along comes the Morty Smith TUBBZ (Collector's Edition) to prove me wrong. This isn't just another rubber duck - it's a perfectly anxious tribute to everyone's favorite nervous grandson from Rick & Morty, and honestly, it's one of the most character-accurate Tubbz I've ever laid eyes on.
What Makes This Morty Duck Special
This Collector's Edition Morty captures everything we love (and feel sorry for) about the character. The sculpt nails that perpetually worried expression, complete with his signature yellow t-shirt and blue pants. But what really sells it is the attention to detail - those wide eyes that seem to be silently screaming "aw geez, Rick" even though he's a duck. The pose is classic Morty: slightly hunched, nervous energy radiating from every angle.
The paint work deserves special recognition. The yellow of Morty's shirt has that perfect cartoon brightness, while his brown hair is rendered with surprising depth. His sneakers get the white treatment with careful detailing, and even the skin tone captures that slightly pale, perpetually-stressed-out look that defines Morty's entire existence across infinite dimensions.
Display-Worthy Duck Details
At standard Tubbz size, Morty fits perfectly on any shelf, desk, or dimension-hopping portal stand. The duck base integration is seamless - you get all the recognizable Morty elements while maintaining that classic rubber ducky charm. The finish is smooth with just enough texture to give dimension to the sculpt, and the balance is solid, so he won't tip over even if placed near your Portal Gun replica.
The Collector's Edition packaging elevates this from impulse buy to genuine collectible. The window box showcases Morty beautifully, featuring Rick & Morty branding that'll make any fan's collection sing. It's the kind of presentation that makes you want to keep the box, which I absolutely did.
A Personal Interdimensional Connection
I'll never forget my first Rick & Morty episode. It was "Pickle Rick," and I stumbled onto it completely by accident during a late-night channel surf. Twenty-two minutes later, I was simultaneously laughing and questioning my entire understanding of science fiction comedy. The show's blend of dark humor, sci-fi adventure, and genuine emotional moments hooked me instantly, and Morty's journey from scared kid to... well, slightly more confident scared kid has been one of television's most compelling character arcs.
As Morty himself would say, "Nobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, everybody's gonna die. Come watch TV." But in duck form, he exists specifically to make your collection better.
Collector Notes and Set Connections
This Collector's Edition Morty pairs perfectly with the Rick & Morty Rick Sanchez TUBBZ (Boxed Edition - NS5794). Together, they recreate the iconic duo dynamic in duck form, and let me tell you, displaying them side-by-side captures the essence of their relationship perfectly. The Collector's Edition designation means this is a premium release with enhanced packaging and presentation.
Rick & Morty Tubbz have become increasingly collectible, with various versions representing different moments and episodes from the series. This Morty represents the classic, evergreen version of the character - perfect for both new collectors and longtime fans looking to complete their interdimensional duck collection.
Why This Tubbz Belongs in Your Collection
The Morty Smith TUBBZ (Collector's Edition) is more than just a cute duck - it's a celebration of one of animation's most relatable characters. Whether you're a Rick & Morty superfan who can quote every episode or someone who just appreciates quality collectibles with personality, this duck delivers.
Display him on your desk as a reminder that even the most anxious among us can survive infinite adventures. Pair him with Rick for the ultimate grandfather-grandson dynamic. Or simply enjoy him as a standalone piece that captures the heart of what makes Morty such an endearing character - his humanity, his fear, and his unexpected moments of courage.
Picture this duck on your shelf next to your other Rick & Morty merchandise, or standing guard near your gaming setup, silently hoping you'll finally finish that one achievement you've been chasing. Aw geez, he's perfect.
