2025 Topps Disney Wonder #118 Mr. Smee - Base Set Pirate Charm
Hey there, Disney darlings! ✨
Can you believe it? I just got home from an amazing day at Disneyland, where I rode Peter Pan's Flight three times (yes, three!), and now I get to share this absolutely delightful card with you. The 2025 Topps Disney Wonder #118 Mr. Smee base set card is here, and honestly, it's giving me all the nostalgic Neverland feels!
Mr. Smee has always held a special place in my heart. He's the bumbling, lovable first mate to Captain Hook, and while he might not be the sharpest cutlass in the treasure chest, his gentle nature and loyalty make him one of Disney's most endearing sidekicks. This card captures that sweet, slightly nervous energy perfectly. The Topps Disney Wonder design showcases Mr. Smee in his signature striped shirt and red stocking cap, with those round spectacles perched on his nose. The Wonder base set treatment gives the card a clean, classic look that lets Mr. Smee's personality shine through.
Yo ho, yo ho, a collector's life for me! When you find that perfect sidekick card, you know your collection has found its first mate.
What I adore about the 2025 Topps Disney Wonder release is how it celebrates both heroes and supporting characters with equal love. Mr. Smee isn't the star of Peter Pan, but he's essential to the story's charm. His constant worrying about Captain Hook, his accidental sabotaging of the captain's plans, and his genuine kindness (remember when he wanted to save Wendy?) make him so much more than just a henchman. Topps captured his gentle expression beautifully on this card, and the color palette of reds, blues, and that soft pink skin tone is simply wonderful.
The Topps Disney Wonder base set has been an absolute treasure for collectors this year. With 200 cards celebrating Disney's animated legacy from Snow White to modern classics, it's a love letter to everything we adore about Disney storytelling. Card #118 fits perfectly into this collection, representing the classic era of Disney animation when every character, no matter how small, had personality and heart.
I remember the first time I watched Peter Pan as a little girl, curled up on the couch with my grandmother. Mr. Smee made her laugh every single time he appeared on screen. She loved how he was supposed to be a pirate but was really just a sweet, gentle soul who happened to work for the wrong captain. That memory came flooding back when I first saw this card. It's amazing how a simple trading card can transport you back to those magical moments.
For collectors building the complete Wonder base set, Mr. Smee is card #118 out of 200, placing him solidly in the Peter Pan section of the checklist. He's surrounded by other Neverland favorites, making this portion of the set particularly fun to collect. If you're a Peter Pan enthusiast, you'll definitely want to grab Captain Hook, Tinker Bell, Wendy, and the Darling boys to complete your Neverland crew. But Mr. Smee? He's the heart of that villainous ship, and your collection needs him.
The Wonder base set cards are wonderfully accessible for collectors of all levels. They're not serial numbered or super rare, which means you can actually complete your set without breaking the bank. That said, don't sleep on these cards! Character collectors who focus on Peter Pan or sidekick characters will absolutely seek out Mr. Smee, and condition-sensitive collectors always want those pristine, pack-fresh examples.
Display-wise, this card looks fantastic in a nine-pocket binder page alongside other Peter Pan cards. I've got mine sleeved in a penny sleeve and top loader right now, sitting on my desk where I can admire that sweet, worried face. Some collectors might choose to send their favorite Wonder base cards off for grading, and a high-grade Mr. Smee would be a charming addition to any registry set. Personally, I love having mine easily accessible so I can pull it out and remember those cozy movie nights with my grandmother.
If you're new to the Topps Disney Wonder release, let me give you the rundown. This is a modern trading card set that celebrates Disney's incredible animation history. The base set features 200 cards with stunning artwork and character photography. Beyond the base, there are incredible insert sets, parallels, and chase cards that add layers of collecting fun. But honestly? The base set is where the magic truly lives. These are the cards that tell the story of Disney, character by character, moment by moment.
For those of you building your Wonder collection, the Collectiblz app has been an absolute game-changer. I have Mr. Smee marked as NEED in my checklist, and I've been watching for him at card shows and in breaks. Being able to track exactly which cards you're missing makes the hunt so much more organized and fun. Plus, seeing that completion percentage climb is seriously satisfying! I encourage all of you to use the app to track your own Disney Wonder journey.
Mr. Smee might not be the flashiest character in the Disney universe, but that's exactly why I love him. He represents the supporting players who make the stories we love so rich and memorable. This card is a celebration of kindness, loyalty, and the gentle souls who somehow end up on pirate ships. Whether you're a Peter Pan superfan, a character completist, or someone who appreciates the deep cuts from the Disney roster, the 2025 Topps Disney Wonder #118 Mr. Smee card deserves a spot in your collection.
So set sail for Neverland, fellow collectors, and make sure this lovable first mate finds his way into your binder. After all, every Captain Hook needs his Mr. Smee, and every Wonder collection needs card #118!
💙 Tilly
