The 2026 Space Jam Basketball Game Popcorn Bucket at AMC Is the Interactive Arcade Collectible Every Tune Squad Fan Needed
Opening night at the theater has a way of turning a movie into a full-on event, and when Space Jam came back to AMC Theatres on May 20, 2026 for its 30th anniversary theatrical engagement, the concession stand did not disappoint. Among the collectibles made available for that special one-day-only run was the Space Jam Basketball Game Popcorn Bucket, a themed piece that leans hard into the movie's court-side energy.
What the Bucket Is
The Space Jam Basketball Game Popcorn Bucket is a sculpted, interactive-style popcorn holder designed to look like a miniature arcade basketball game. The base carries Space Jam branding, and the structure rises into a small backboard and red hoop. The whole form calls back to the Pop-A-Shot style arcade games that have been a staple of movie theater lobbies and arcades for decades, which is a fitting tie-in for a film that made basketball itself the centerpiece of its plot.
Design and Details
This is not a flat-printed bucket. The sculpt gives it dimension and personality that goes well beyond the typical tub. The red hoop is a standout visual element, giving the piece vertical height and instantly readable iconography for anyone who has seen the film. The branding across the base is clean and celebratory, marking the 30th anniversary without being overdone. The whole structure holds a large popcorn serving, so it functions as intended while looking the part on a shelf long after the credits roll.

The best popcorn buckets are the ones that make you feel like you are still inside the movie even after you have left the theater. This one puts a tiny basketball game in your hands, which is exactly the right energy for a film about playing the most important basketball game in history.
The Film Connection
Space Jam premiered in November 1996 and became a genuine cultural touchstone. Michael Jordan, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and the rest of the Looney Tunes facing off against the Monstars in a winner-take-all basketball game is one of the more memorable premises of 1990s cinema, and the film has held up as a nostalgic favorite for anyone who grew up watching it. Thirty years later, a theatrical one-day event brought it back to the big screen, and AMC marked the occasion with themed merchandise that leaned into the game-day spirit.
Collector Notes
This bucket was released as part of a one-day-only AMC event tied specifically to the 30th anniversary screening on May 20, 2026. Availability was while supplies lasted at AMC locations, which means quantities were limited and the window to pick one up was narrow. That combination of event-specific release, short window, and AMC-exclusive availability makes it a solid addition to any movie theater collectibles display. The dimensional sculpt and arcade-game design make it stand out from flat-printed buckets, and the Space Jam franchise carries decades of collector nostalgia behind it.
For fans who display by franchise, this pairs well with other Space Jam merchandise, vintage Looney Tunes pieces, or any collection organized around 1990s film memorabilia. The vertical height of the sculpt also means it holds its own on a shelf surrounded by shorter, rounder buckets.
If you missed the one-day window, secondary market listings are your best path to finding one now.
