Every Moment Counts: Time in Disney Infinity 3.0
Oh, what a delight it is to talk about the Disney Infinity Time figure today! As someone who absolutely adored the 2016 film "Alice Through the Looking Glass," I was thrilled when Disney introduced this whimsical character to the Disney Infinity 3.0 lineup. Time, portrayed by the wonderfully eccentric Sacha Baron Cohen, is such a colorful addition to any collector's shelf - whether you're a devoted Alice fan or simply love unique character designs.
The Disney Infinity Time figure captures the character's theatrical charm perfectly. Time sports his iconic steampunk-inspired outfit, complete with his ornate robes, pocket watches, and that delightfully peculiar demeanor that made him memorable on screen. The sculpt shows incredible attention to detail - from his expressive face to the intricate patterns on his clothing. What I absolutely adore about this sculpt is how it manages to be both whimsical and slightly eccentric, much like Sacha Baron Cohen's portrayal in the film.
For those who played the Alice Through the Looking Glass content in Disney Infinity 3.0, Time's gameplay abilities are absolutely fantastic. His long-range attacks involve throwing a pocket watch that momentarily freezes all nearby enemies - how thematically perfect is that? His short-range combat relies on punches and brawling, and his finishing move features a baton that he pulls from his robes with flourish. If you dive into the Skill Tree, you can unlock his special attack called "Time Warp," where he summons the Chronosphere and creates a time warp that sucks in nearby enemies. It's visually spectacular and incredibly fun to use during gameplay.
I remember the first time I watched Alice Through the Looking Glass in theaters - it was such a delightfully bonkers film, and Time was one of the most memorable characters. The mad tea party scenes, the pocket watch obsession, the whole "It's tea time" philosophy - it all resonated with me as someone who grew up loving the whimsical world of Alice. As Time himself might say, "It's always tea time somewhere in the Looking Glass world," which perfectly captures the spirit of this character.
The paint application on the Time figure is gorgeous too. The colors are vibrant and accurate to the film, with careful detailing on his pocket watches and robes. There's a real sense of personality captured in the sculpt - you can almost hear his voice coming from the figure! The size and proportions are perfect for display alongside other Disney Infinity 3.0 figures, and it looks fantastic on a shelf dedicated to Alice characters or whimsical Disney collectibles.
One of the wonderful things about collecting Disney Infinity figures is how they serve as wonderful reminders of beloved films and characters. The Time figure is particularly special because it represents a more recent Alice adventure - one that brought us fresh takes on these classic characters. Whether you're building a complete Alice Through the Looking Glass collection or you simply love unique character designs, this figure absolutely deserves a spot in your collection.
The figure's rarity has grown over time, as is typical with Disney Infinity releases, making it an increasingly valuable piece for dedicated collectors. If you've been on the fence about adding Time to your collection, I'd definitely recommend seeking one out. The sculptural detail, the gameplay abilities, and the connection to such a whimsical film make it a must-have for any serious Disney collector.
Display it proudly on a shelf dedicated to Disney's more eccentric characters, or keep it ready in its original packaging for those who view these figures as investment pieces. Either way, the Disney Infinity Time figure is a magical addition that celebrates one of Disney's most enchanting universes.
