The Abominable Popcorn Bucket Is the Yeti-Cool Collectible Every DreamWorks Theater Fan Craves
Meet the Abominable Popcorn Bucket
When DreamWorks' Abominable hit theaters in 2019, Major Cineplex stepped up with a collectible that captures the film's heart and humor. The Abominable Popcorn Bucket is more than just a concession cup - it's a three-dimensional tribute to Everett, the lovable yeti at the center of the adventure.
The bucket features Everett's distinctive furry white sculpt with his characteristic expression frozen in cheerful wonder. The design showcases impressive sculpting detail: from the contours of his face to the texture work that suggests his thick, yeti fur. The bucket sits atop a sturdy base and includes a functional lid and handle, making it both display-worthy and actually usable for popcorn.
What makes this bucket special isn't just the character - it's the feeling of adventure it brings. Holding this piece takes me back to that magical theater experience, watching Everett discover wonder in a world he'd never seen before. That's exactly why I collect these theater exclusives.
The Abominable Popcorn Bucket released exclusively at Major Cineplex locations during the film's theatrical run. For collectors tracking DreamWorks theatrical releases, this is a genuine piece of cinema history from a beloved animated feature. Theater buckets from this era are increasingly hard to find, especially when film properties rotate out of the theatrical landscape.
The 2019 timing also makes this bucket a great counterpoint for collectors who favor a mix of franchises - it's different from the superhero and sequel properties that dominated cineplexes that year. The Abominable property itself has aged well, and nostalgia for accessible, family-friendly animated films continues to rise.
I've got this one on my needs list in the Collectiblz app - it rounds out my focus on theater buckets that feature smaller studios and unique character designs. If you're hunting for DreamWorks theater exclusives or just love the Abominable character, this bucket is a fantastic addition to a display shelf.
Theater popcorn buckets are fleeting collectibles by nature, and the Abominable bucket represents a moment when DreamWorks had Major Cineplex's full support. It's the kind of item that reminds us why we love cinema - and why we collect.
