The Penny 101 Dalmatians PEZ Dispenser Is the Spotted Puppy Essential Every Disney Collector Needs
A Charming Dalmatian Puppy from Disney's Classic Animated Film
Today I'm excited to share one of my favorite Disney PEZ dispensers: the Penny 101 Dalmatians PEZ Dispenser. This adorable collectible captures one of the most endearing puppies from Disney's 1961 animated classic. Penny is the sweet, innocent Dalmatian puppy from the film, and this PEZ dispenser brings her charm right to collectors' shelves.
The Penny dispenser features a carefully sculpted head with classic Disney appeal. The molded plastic head captures her signature puppy features - those soulful eyes and floppy ears that made her such a beloved character in the film. The dispenser comes with a classic PEZ stem and includes candy refills, making it both a display piece and functional collectible.
What I love most about this dispenser is how it celebrates the quieter, more tender moments of 101 Dalmatians. Penny wasn't the flashiest character in the film, but she had a gentle, lovable quality that resonated with so many of us who grew up watching Roger and Anita's adventures with their spotted family.
The Penny dispenser was released as part of Disney's broader PEZ collection, appearing in the Best of Disney lineup. It represents the mid-2000s era when PEZ was really diving deep into Disney's back catalog of animated characters, pulling from films beyond just the most obvious princess and hero stories. This makes it a fantastic addition for collectors who want to represent the full spectrum of Disney animation history.
From a display perspective, this dispenser pairs beautifully with other 101 Dalmatians PEZ dispensers if you're building a themed collection. The consistent sculpting quality across the line makes them an attractive shelf grouping. It's also a wonderful conversation starter - not everyone immediately recognizes Penny, which gives you a great opportunity to share some Disney animation trivia with fellow collectors.
I recently added this to my needs list in the Collectiblz app, as I continue to fill in the gaps in my Disney PEZ collection. The hunt for older Disney releases like this one keeps the collecting journey exciting and rewarding.
