When a Mischievous Experiment Gets Ultra Rare: Scrump's Squish Alots Moment!
When a Mischievous Experiment Gets Ultra Rare: Scrump's Squish Alots Moment!
I walked into Target last week with a very casual "just browsing the seasonal section" mindset, and then I saw it: the Squish Alots blind bags. For those who don't know, Disney Doorables Squish Alots are these adorable 1-inch squishy figures of beloved Disney and Pixar characters, and let me tell you - pulling an Ultra Rare is like winning the collector's lottery.
This pull? It's Scrump, the mischievous little ragdoll from Lilo & Stitch - and she's Ultra Rare. For those unfamiliar with the rarity tiers, Ultra Rare is the holy grail: Super Rare exists, Special Edition exists, but Ultra Rare? That's the one that makes you double-check the bag and refresh eBay. Scrump has always been one of my favorite characters from the film. There's something about her rough, stitched-together charm that feels like an underdog story in plush form. When I first watched Lilo & Stitch, I immediately connected with how Nani and Stitch brought Lilo joy through creativity and friendship - even if it was just through a simple doll.
There's a magic to pulling Ultra Rare. You don't know it's coming. The bag doesn't tell you. You're just hoping, and then suddenly - there she is, and your collection just got infinitely cooler.
The Disney Doorables Squish Alots Series 1 launched with 50 different characters to collect, and Scrump holds her own as one of the most sought-after figures in the lineup. What makes her stand out physically is the detail - even at just 1 inch tall, her stitched face and distinctive expression are instantly recognizable. She's got that perfect balance of cute and creepy-in-the-best-way that made her such a breakout character in the Lilo & Stitch universe.
I immediately had a decision to make: keep her in my collection or add her to my needs list in the Collectiblz app for trading purposes. Ultra Rares are meant to be displayed and cherished, not hidden away. This one's going straight to my desk shelf with my other Ultra Rare Doorables - and yes, I'm already scheming about the perfect shadow box with a Lilo & Stitch themed backdrop for her.
If you're collecting Squish Alots, here's my collector's note: the Stitch-universe characters seem to have incredible pull rates right now, and Ultra Rares in this line are legitimately game-changing for any collection. Scrump is a character that carries emotional weight in the franchise, not just rarity tier, which makes pulling her feel extra special.
Display-wise, I'm thinking either a small dome display to highlight her individually, or nestled with my other Stitch-universe Doorables in a tiered acrylic riser. Either way, this Ultra Rare Scrump is getting the spotlight treatment.
