Catrine DeMew's Parisian Werecat Elegance & Rare Vinyl Collectible Appeal: The 2016 Monster High DJC37 Figure

Bonjour, Monster High friends!
There's something absolutely magnetic about the French-inspired ghouls in Monster High, and Catrine DeMew has been on my wishlist since the moment she graced the Shriekwrecked collection. This 2016 vinyl figure (DJC37) is the rare variant that had me searching high and low, and honestly, she's everything a werecat collector could dream of.
Catrine is a werecat from France, and her character is all about artistic expression and feline grace. She's got that lavender hair with magenta streaks that absolutely pops, those stunning blue cat eyes, pointed ears, and the most sophisticated lavender complexion. Her signature black beauty mark below her left eye gives her such a chic, mysterious look. As a werecat, she embodies the coolest blend of human refinement and predatory elegance that Monster High is famous for.
What makes this particular figure so special is that she's part of the Shriekwrecked - Shriek Mates line from 2016, and this DJC37 vinyl collectible is significantly rarer than the standard retail doll release. While the standard doll had wider distribution through retailers like Walmart and Amazon, this vinyl variant had much more limited availability, primarily showing up in Canada and China markets. That scarcity makes her a prize for serious collectors who appreciate the hunt.
The 2016 Catrine DeMew Vinyl Figure has this adorable sailor-inspired aesthetic that makes no sense for a Parisian werecat, and yet it somehow works perfectly. She comes with her black fingerless gloves, gray sunglasses, a light purple scarf, and the most gorgeous lavender floral pumps with pink soles. The proportions of this vinyl variant are distinctly different from the standard doll - she's got that oversized head and shorter body that gives her such a collectible, art-object quality. I absolutely love displaying her with other G2 vinyl collectibles; they look like a tiny gallery of monster fabulousness.
I have to admit, I first fell in love with Catrine when I rediscovered the Scaris special last year. Her G1 appearance in that fashion-forward episode had me totally charmed. Even though this G2 version doesn't have the same cartoon presence, the sculpt and fashion details make her tell her own story. There's something about collecting the lesser-known ghouls that feels more rewarding than going for the main character vault.
One of my favorite Monster High philosophies is that "Freaky just got prettier," and Catrine embodies that perfectly. She's sophisticated, artistic, and unapologetically different. If you're looking to round out your collection with a rarer, more exclusive piece that celebrates the international Monster High universe, the 2016 Catrine DeMew DJC37 vinyl figure is absolutely worth the hunt.
This figure would fit perfectly on any Monster High collector's shelf, and I've marked her on my needs list in the Collectiblz app because I'm still on the search for her!
