Francesco Bernoulli: The Racing Rival Brings Cars Action to Disney Infinity 1.0
Speed, Rivalry, and the Spirit of Competition
Oh, what a thrill it is to celebrate the arrival of Francesco Bernoulli in the Disney Infinity collection! This charismatic Italian racecar absolutely embodies everything I adore about Pixar's Cars universe - the passion, the drama, and that infectious love of racing that makes you want to buckle up and join the adventure.
Francesco is such a fantastic character because he represents the flip side of Lightning McQueen's journey. Where Lightning learns humility and friendship, Francesco remains that gloriously arrogant rival who thinks the world revolves around his perfectly polished chassis. When I first watched Cars 2, I couldn't help but laugh at his over-the-top personality and his refusal to accept that anyone could possibly be faster than him. That competitive fire is captured beautifully in this Disney Infinity figure.
The sculpt of this Disney Infinity Francesco Bernoulli Figure is absolutely stunning. The pose captures him mid-stride, that confident stance with his sleek Italian design on full display. The paint job is immaculate - the deep red finish is so vibrant and glossy, just like a real racing vehicle. His expression is perfectly smug, that trademark confident smirk that says he knows he's the fastest car on any track. Every detail, from the racing decals to the aerodynamic body lines, is rendered with such precision. Pixar's animation team clearly put so much thought into making Francesco visually distinct from Lightning, and this figure honors that design perfectly.
In the original Cars 2 film, Francesco is absolutely convinced that his racing prowess is unmatched. He clashes with Lightning during the World Grand Prix, each race adding fuel to their rivalry. It's as Guido says, "If you no like-a my name, you can call me Guido" - sometimes you just have to be yourself and own it, which is exactly what Francesco does. He never apologizes for his cockiness, never pretends to be humble, and honestly, that's part of his charm. He's the antagonist Lightning needs to grow as a character.
The Disney Infinity version of Francesco comes packed with incredible abilities inspired by his racing skills. He's built for speed and acceleration, making him a fantastic choice for players who want to blaze through World Grand Prix and Francesco's Rush adventure sequences. The game's developers really understood what made Francesco special - that raw, unapologetic drive to be number one. When you're playing as Francesco, you're not playing as a reformed character learning valuable lessons; you're playing as pure competitive spirit, and that's exhilarating.
What I absolutely love about collecting cars from the Pixar universe is how each figure tells its own story. Francesco represents ambition without redemption, which is refreshing. Not every character needs to have a heartwarming arc. Sometimes, the character who stays true to their nature - even if that nature is bratty and competitive - is the most memorable.
I have to admit, this figure has been on my wish list for quite some time! I'm so excited to finally add Francesco Bernoulli to my growing Disney Infinity collection. I've actually just added this to my needs list in the Collectiblz app - you can check out my complete wish list if you'd like to see what other figures I'm still hunting for!
The Francesco Bernoulli Disney Infinity Figure is an essential addition for any fan of the Cars franchise or collectors building a complete Disney Infinity set. Whether you're replaying the games or simply admiring these beautifully crafted pieces on a shelf, Francesco brings that signature Pixar charm and competitive spirit that makes collecting so much fun.
